A warm up fight when you fight once, twice a year is a waste. ESPECIALLY if it's a self imposed lay off. It's one thing to take an easy fight after a long layoff due to injury.
I watched that fight live and I saw it 114-112 for floyd. that was also at a time when i wasn't really a floyd fan. i was still on roys jock. people let themsevles be swayed by the commentary and their hate for floyd. even people who never saw the fight before, go on youtube and watch it and say he lost, but you have to really watch the whole fight and pay attention to see what happened, not just jump on the "floyd lost to castillo in the first fight" bandwagon.
So some Floyd fans do things you don't like, so you complain about all of us? Thats just as bas as the behavior you're whining about.
If you feel you're not cut out for it, why are you still posting here then? If aalll these Floyd Mayweather Jr. fans bother you so much, why are you still here? Theres WAY more Floyd haters on this forum than Floyd fans who are as blind/biased. The Floyd fans who are reasonable and have a brain are the minority here (One that comes to mind right off hand is kg0208). If the specific issue here is the Castillo-Mayweather I. My answer is: Why do you care so much? Floyd gave him an immediate rematch and beat him clearly in another close fight. When I first saw the first fight, I scored it for Floyd just a couple of points, when I watched it again I scored it for Castillo. When I tried the whole 'watch on mute' thing I had a very hard time scoring it. My reason being that the parts of the fight that Castillo seemingly took control over were based on landing a lot of punches that I thought did not land cleanly. But its impossible to tell which ones landed cleanly, which ones didn't, and if so how many more clean punches did he land than Floyd, or how many fewer. The middle parts of that fight can be hard to score. Personally I think anyone scoring from a TV replay... is only guessing as to who came out the better in that fight. I think its a fight that it would have helped immensley to have een there to see it in person. But in the grand scheme of things does it matter who was given the decision? Almost every fighter's career has some kind of blemish like that on it. Floyd has a decision some feel is a gift. Castillo repeatedly come in over weight. **** happens. What I want to know is, despite the fact that **** like this happens in boxing all the time, and it WAS a close fight that could have gone either way: Why do people care so much? Its like you're trying to convince each other to change your minds about who you feel won the fight. Well thats not going to happen!
