Exactly! Margo is the very definition of the type of fighter PBF always gets accused of trying to fight. A slow come forward guy who's easy to hit. PBF haters only bring Margo up because he didn't fight him if he had he would be seen as just another cherry pick according to them. It's a desperate reach at best PBF is a stylistic nightmare for Margo and wouldn't lose a round to him.
1. Isaih Thomas 2. Gus Williams 3. Maurice Cheeks 4. Tiny Archibald 5. Magic Johnson 6. Big O 7. jerry west
Understandable view but with Stockton at PG we know both Kareem and Russell are getting amazing dishes down low. Second chance point are a given with my team. If Russell gets it he has Jordan and Bird to dish out too and if Kareem gets it then that's and easy 2 points. To top that off Jordan played with Pippin so he knows how to play with another great scorer so we know bird would get his fair amount of touches and on the fast break we would be damn near unstoppable. I'm not saying my team would blow either of yours wout but is seem them winning anywhere from a 5-15 point game against either team.
And mostly i picked my team on basketball IQ,and players who could make others better.and Kareem was my other choice.just went with Olajuwon as i think he would fit my team better.and with Olajuwon/Duncan pair they would be a terror under and close the rim.and prime Duncan is severly underrated also in defence, that's just my opinion.but i have no problems choosing Russell.
You can not say Magic was a better PURE POINT GAURD the Stockton. I think you can make an argument for Thomas and Big O but from a pure point guard standpoint none of them are better. Maurice Cheeks is a lesser version of Stockton in every way. The rest of them may have been better overall players but not better pure point gaurds. Also defensively Stockton is better then a few of them when it came to man to man D and picking passing lanes.
Seriously don't know.maybe this makes as much sense as Floyd top 5? But we come this far, what is your Mt.Rushmore in basketball?i promise to not answer you anymore considering basketball, after that heh
Other than him being in the top 5 it isn't horrible. Everyone in the top 5 (except him) are usually listed in the top 5 of most lists. Albeit Sugar Ray not being there is ludicrous. Incidentally to retort you, I don't think Joe Louis is top 5 of all time. 10 yeah, 5 no.
4-5 all time at center. Kareem, Wilt, and Russell are all clearly ahead of him and him and Shaq are really close.
Russell > Wilt. 11 rings to 2 kiddos. Wilt***uals can't live with that. Russell was way out of his prime in the 69 finals (His last year) and everyone thought Wilt was going to beat Russell that year, no one thought Boston had a chance. Going into game 7, everyone thought it was going to be a Lakers beatdown. But Russ said, "They just can't beat us, it ain't gonna happen" And Russell sealed his place above Wilt, FOREVER!!! :nod:deal Wilt had Baylor, West, Egan, Erickson Russell is just below Jordan, that's it.
There has to be at least 3 Mt Rushmores based on the different eras of play like 60s -70s. Than 80s. Than 90s - 2015... the 80s were the athletic peak of the NBA....
Opinions are like azsholes... everybody has one and most stink. No Robinson, Charles, Armstrong, or Pep? No Leonard, Hearns, Hagler (I don't care if he only fought at MW). No Mosley, DeLaHoya, Trinidad, Wright, Jones, Hopkins, Holyfield, and others. It doesn't matter, just one man's opinion. At HW I still have Ali at #1 but if Lewis is on I could see him beating anyone... but I don't rank him #1 or even #2 because I thinks it more likely that he loses to the men I rank ahead of him (prime vs. prime). A case can be made that Castillo, DeLaHoya, Maidana, and even Pacquiao should have wins over Mayweather. I'm not saying I feel he lost all of these fights, but some people do. No shame, but he's not TBE as he claims. He even had his less than great moments vs. Judah, Cotto, Alvarez, and even Ortiz. Can't forget about a 100 year old Mosley almost stopping him. I'm sick of hearing about Mayweather's opinions.
