Theres not any great boxers on the list though is there ? Dont misunderstand me , this is not a attempt to knock Floyd , just something I've noticed now . There all fighters on your list . Oscar can box , but he fights more , and he was offensive against Floyd. Judah can box , buy believes in his power a lot so he fights a lot. Castillo is technically good but he is a fighter. Oscar has a great jab but I'm saying Floyd hasnt beat a great defensive fighter , he probably would beat them aswell , just a insight though
Actually, Mayweahter is just so good that he can completely dominate really good fighters such as Hatton. Mayweather's dominance in this fight will be a testament to his greatness. Just because people strongly believe Mayweahter will win, and if Mayweather happens to dominate, that doesn't change the fact that Hatton is a good fighter. To get a better idea of what I'm talking about, let's look at the NFL. In week 6 the undefeated Patriots played the undefeated Cowboys. There was no doubting that the Cowboys were a good team. Despite this, most people were picking the Patriots, and the Patriots blew out the Cowboys. Does this mean that the Cowboys aren't good? If course not, it's more of a testament to how good the Patriots are. The same holds true for this fight.
Because he's a **** talker, and he ducked the most dangerous guy out there at the time to fight some garbage ass fighter. He even fought Judah when he could have fought Margarito. What was the significance in that? Judah just got beat by Baldomir. Mayweather was so scared of Margarito that he banned him from press conferences. Margarito doesn't have the liabilities that Hatton has. Margarito is taller than Floyd, with more reach, and he's much stronger. Not only that, but his right hand, left hook/uppercut would have tore Floyd up, especially in combination with his work rate, good chin, and the fact that Floyd's 1 or 2 punches won't hurt Margarito. You wanna see a track meet, that would have been Floyd running for his life. NO WAY he would have knocked Margarito out. People would have booed the **** out of Floyd and he would have lost all credibility. Honestly, he deserves that kind of beating. He disrespects people too much. But he won't back it up when a real challenge walks through the door. I'm talkin, HE BANNED THE MAN from his press conferences. Where was big, bad, gangsta Floyd then?
A PRIME Diego Corrales wasnt great? A PRIME Jose Luis Castillo? A PRIME Ricky Hatton (if he wins...but we are talking hand picking opponents, so it applies)?
If Floyd never fought Corrales, people would be saying, Floyd would have dominated Corrales because he was just a crude slugger, a C class fighter at best. But since Floyd dominated him, all of a sudden Corrales was comparable to Duran.
Incorrect. After Zab lost to Baldo, Floyd offered Margarito a fight. However, Arum didn't want to pull him off a February card where Margartio was scheduled to fight Manuel Gomez. As far as the rest of your rant, it has nothing to do with what I said. I really don't care Margarito would do against Floyd. That fight will never happen. Margarito just better pray that Cotto gives him a shot.
Corrales is one of my all time favorite fighters...and Floyd DOMINATED HIM in a way that NOONE had since or before. Not comparable to Duran in any way, but a great, GREAT fighter. People saying the opposite have an agenda, Im sorry.
Mayweather offered him a fight like what 3 weeks outside his fight with Gomez? What kind of person that refers to themself as a man would do some ***** ass **** like that? As I recall, Margarito went right back to calling out Floyd after that fight, but where was Floyd? On the run.......... All I'm saying, is Floyd runs his mouth like he's hard as ****, but the reality of it is that he avoids the hardest guys in the division. Honestly, could Hatton beat Margarito, Cotto, or Paul Williams? Could Hatton beat Clottey or Cintron? I know you can say well, that's irrelevant because if fighter A beats fighter B, that doesn't necessarily mean that he'll beat fighter C, but the point is that Floyd picked a guy that can't even hold his own in this division. If Hatton wins, it will be a miracle, but that's because he SHOULDN'T win this fight. I can't say the same thing if Floyd fought Williams, Margarito or Cotto. Can you?
Of course he did, he was set to fight Judah(who was the undisputed champ at the time), then Judah lost to Baldo in January. No one expected Judah to lose, he had to scramble for plan B. Getting back to the rest of your rant, you bringing up all these arguments that have nothing to do with what I wrote. Another thing, people constantly say he's avoided all these guys at WW, but the timing hasn't been right for him to fight any of these guys except Margarito.
