Yeah definitely. A tree has never beaten a real top-10 fighter. Besides, trees stand too straight up, they know nothing about angles and their mobility is absolutely subpar. Trees are ****ing hype-jobs.
I had never considered this angle before. I'm still backing Money though because Ortiz did not specify what type of tree he is.
Having seen Lord of the rings, and what those tree people did to Isengard, I too believe Floyd's chances may have dwindled. However, if Money was smart, he would use those Ca$h phones as a down payment on the one Ring. This will give him the edge, I believe, and also will put to rest who the true ring champion is.
Tree can't fight back, it can only topple over. Ortiz has too much experience in toppling over, with his shaky "branch" that "breaks" when it gets hit with a solid "axe" punch.
I really admire Ortiz for the adversity he has had to overcome in his life. But i honestly can't see him beating someone as well schooled and polished as Mayweather. Beating Berto was impressive, but this is a really big step up in class. Mayweather's accuracy and speed will be too much for Ortiz.
Honestly, Floyd's skillset has never shown the capability to deal with the natural ability a tree brings over 12 rounds. And I rate his skills pretty highly.
