You people keep talking about race in a completely different context then what I used which means that you are obviously responding of off emotion instead of reading. I never said he is hated becasue he is black. I said because of his flamboyance and trash talking whiich is prevalent in a lot of black athletes it turms off people who don't understand black culture. And thats really a stupid reason to dislike someone. You judge a fighter on what they do in the ring, not how they are in the promotion of the fight.
Correct, so we can only go on the personailty he has chosen to reveal to the public. That personality is a dick, so he gets treated like a dick.
I respect you for being honest, at least you acknowledge and give him credit for his skills. Some people hate the guy so much they wont even do that.:happy
What's a tiny bit of humility. Praising Gatti after he dominated him? Or is it hugging Ricky hatton after stopping him, and calling him a warrior? Or is it on falling to his knees in tears prasing and thanking God for victory.?
here you go again bigot. Why the **** are u even mentioning that floyd is black? and floyd has **** to do with black culture. HE is just an *******. Stop trying to act like were ****ing suburbanites who dont know slang or black people. Black people do not all act like vain assholes. that is not black culture.
not tghe first guy, of you want to be technical, ali acted like even bigger dick on hios way up, but eventaully people saw more then the militant muslim demenaor
The first statement in bold is racist - it makes a sweeping generalisation about non-African Amercians and African Americans. Your second statement in bold is also racist in it's implication of Mosley being an Uncle Tom. You are in no position to start accusing anyone else of being racist or reacting emotionally when you could have left out any mention of African and Non-African Americans, and the type of black man people like. You could have simply said people like Mosley because he's quietly-spoken and shows respect, and people dislike Floyd because he's outspoken and disrespectful, couldn't you? But then that would answered your own question and there wouldn't have been any point in starting a thread about something so obvious, right? So you started this thread claiming people's dislike of Floyd is irrational, hoping for support from other Floyd nuthuggers.
My take on this is that PBF is taking on something like a "villain" persona to make him more marketable. So for me, he acts like a villain, he gets treated like a villain. But I don't know the guy personally so I wouldn't know if he actually really is like that. Personally I don't care what his attitude is. Talk **** all you want, as long as you back it up in the ring. If you call yourself the best, then fight the best and beat them to prove it. Has he fought the best? A lot of people think that below 147 he has, but at 147 he hasn't. Hence he hasn't backed up his words at 147 yet. I hope he does.
I mention it becasue it seems like the majority of haters are non black. I know in my hood we love him as a boxer. I know when i watch his fights, the majority of people I see standing and cheering for him are black.
Show me where I accused people of being racist? You people seriously dont know how to read critically.
It'a all entertainment brother. Don't take it so personal. I am not a fan of his in the ring. He's like my 4th favorite fighter at WW. But I find myself defending him because the unnecessary hate is ridiculous.
you said people dont like floyd because they dont understand black culture. Can you please dwell deeper into this. WHat exactly about black culture dont they understand?
