    Canelo was only 23.

    No matter how many fights you had before, you are hell of a lot more intelligent, wiser and smarter when you are 36 compared to your 23 year old self.

    Therefore, Floyd's that win doesn't mean anything.

    I agree they were close fights but the trout fight canelo with the knock down I feel did enough to win it the Lara fight however is a different subject lol

    It means plenty and haters like you will do or say anything to not give the man his due. I'd rather be 23 than 36 in a boxing ring or any other sport for that matter. It's an excuse and not a good one to try and discredit the win.

    It was one of Floyd's 2 best wins/performances along with corrales

    The Gatti performance may be his best display. He made a world champ look like he never boxed in his life. However, nobody thought Gatti had a prayer,unlike vs Canelo and Diego, where many picked against Floyd

    I would personally put Corrales and Gatti victories ahead of it, also the Hatton victory but it was the best victory of last part of his career as he was 36 years old then. Imagine what a younger Floyd would have done to Canelo.

    You are in the minority. There's a reason most 23 year old fighters dont face ATGs/P4P fighters...because they arent ready.

    Canelo has come into his own at SMW. Before SMW he was good but became great at 168 and humbled at 175.

    Yeah Canelo wasn't green. Never bought that excuse to discredit Floyd's win.

    The truth is although Canelo is good, even great, Floyd is simply the better p4p fighter. I do think a bigger prime Canelo at 160+ would have found a way past Floyd if they rematched due to the size and power difference, but p4p there's no question at all.

    He was green against top level opponents.

    Shane was done.

    Trout was a B level guy who’d only beaten a faded Cotto. And Canelo had barely beaten him.

    He barely beat Lara too.

    Canelo had fought 40 times, but most of those were against low level guys on the way up.

    This is not a popularity contest. I don’t need to be in majority of opinion. I am a specialist when it comes to boxing because I see things other don’t see. By way of example when Tyson Fury fought Wilder the first time I predicted he would outbox Wilder and win on points but majority thought I had lost my mind but it played as I expected. In the 2nd fight I predicted the stoppage exactly how Fury would rag doll him and put it on him and stop him. Hearing this many thought I had become a certifiable lunatic but I was prove right. Like I said Canelo was a 40 fights veteran when he fought Floyd who was way past his peak and Canelo was at his peak. This is a guy who had been boxing professional for 8 years. Floyd was just too good for him period. Styles make fights and I rightly predicted Bivol would beat Canelo as well as I predicted Claressa Shields would outclass Savannah Marshall when many on here thought Marshall would stop her. Skills pay the bills.
