One for fun. Trainer vs. Fighter. Prime vs. Prime.

With the day before weigh ins these days I'd guess both would be 150 lbs ish on fight night.

Hatton was a decent 140 champ while Floyd mixed in very good company at 147. Who ya got???

If its current Mayweather Snr, then I think we will definately need olympic drug testing for this.

I think you're right. I was watching Hatton-Malinaggi and this fight came to mind. I guess a better one would be Hatton vs. Roger "The Black Mamba" Mayweather?

Hatton would have to get in close and Roger was a little chinny but had one hell of a right hand!!

Floyd is about 5 hundred and ten years old yet he still has the body of a 20 something.

Know nothing about Floyd Sr. career, but if it was a pie eating contest I know where my money is going.

Hatton would be made to look bad like he did vs Collazo, Magee etc but he'll end up the victor.

At 147? I think the weight and style advantage for Floyd Snr. would make it competitive. Mayweather was really an average fighter in terms of his physical tools with awful footwork, but his smarts and durability meant he didn't disgrace himself against Leonard and Starling.

A prime Hatton would win a decision, in a ugly, mauling type of fight. He would take some shots, but outwork him by sort of Urango margins. Collazo is a better fighter than Mayweather Sr. and a more tricky opponent for Ricky.

As you say, Roger vs. Ricky is a much better fight.

The White Mexican v the Mexican Killer. Looks like a certain win for Roger on nicknames alone.
