No. It's more than that. Sr. has talked **** on Roach in the past, and he's basically admitting he was wrong here.

Very classy of him to give Roach his props.

That was kinda rough, but I guess Sr. knows what he's talking about. And I agree with most of it. This Oscar really wasn't the same Oscar as the guy who even fought Steve Forbes.

That, and you win fights through combination punching and flurries.

And Enzo, who's that hot chic on your avatar, been meaning to ask?

I don't think Oscar is shot. He's definitely not as good as he once was, but saying he's completely shot is a bit much. He just went up against a guy that is extremely underrated by people like you with an absolutely terrible gameplan that amounted to "I am bigger, I am stronger, I am a better boxer, and I will win with my jab". What strategy! The plan was flawed, the defense (or lack thereof) was horrible, and the result was that the quicker fighter picked him apart. Could he make adjustments to make the fight more competitive and win? Absolutely. Will he do that? Probably not. Will he ever fight again and be successful? Probably not at an elite level, but possibly against very good competition. Only time will tell. Something tells me that this won't be the last we've seen of the Golden Boy. But if DLH is "shot", its as a result of the fight, not bcuz he was a dead man walking. He wasn't shot b4 the fight. If he was, it would've been obvious during camp and they would've saved themselves the embarrassment. No amount of money is worth that to a person is already beyond set for life. He just got out strategized by a trainer that knew his weaknesses and had a fighter that could exploit them.

Are you really suggesting that Pacquiao and Roach are cherry pickers? I guess its easier to say that all those guys were shot then it is to say that Manny is extremely special that gets exponentially better each time out and was weight-drained when he beat JMM earlier this year and got cheated out of a W in their first fight because of a mistake made when calculating the cards. I'm sure both Hatton and Mayweather will also be "shot" if Manny beats them decisively as well.

    I disagree.

I think the speed was the key to the fight. DLH is faded and weight drained but not shot. He took a really nice flush shot on the chin from Pac and didn't go down. IMO, the Pac that fought Saturday would have done the same thing to the man that fought Forbes, but with the result coming later at the end of the fight or a UD.

It's nice to have a hittable target, but DLH couldn't find Pac at all. He couldn't use his jab because he couldn't find his range, so that's what he was trying to do with his jab. DLH timing was off too, and had him guessing all night.

Old - yes, faded - yes, dehydrated - yes, but shot no.

I don't why you would call him shot when he wasn't chinny in the fight nor did he go turtle, and he took plenty of flush shots from Pac.

So Pacquiao is cherry picking "shot" fighters now.

It would be extremely wise of Hatton to fight again before mid year.

That was the most compliment I ever read for Roach and Pac coming from Floyd Sr.
