Which of Floyds opponents haven't suited him PP?!? I love you man, but you and I have been over this millions of times, you basically think Floyd is unbeatable :good as I've said before, Pac has more to trouble Floyd with than vice versa IMO.
Well as a fan at the time I was personally worried about Judah, Hatton and DLH (and shitting it during round 2 of Mosley ). Stylistically I prefered Cotto to all of them because hes slower, flat footed, not too good of a defense. Margarito I think would of been a tough fight, a style that Floyd should beat but stuggle to beat Judah had the speed, angles (and despite not being the fighter Manny is he uses the angles better and is a faster starter), power in a new division. Hatton had the footspeed, workrate/pressure and at the time I thought he had unpenatable chin after Zoo - at the time it seemed like a harder Castillo match up. DLH was loads bigger and an older ATG coming off a good win As a Mayweather fan, I think it ludicrous he hasn't taken this fight, it should be made to measure for him, its probably easier fight than say Paul Williams or even Spinks lets alone Vernon Forrest. This is a really **** time to be a Mayweather fan though mate, even a nuthugger like myself is losing faith at the moment and I'm hoping it just gets signed ASAP :|
That's exactly how I feel about Floyd not taking the Margo fight. He should've beat him convincingly, but in a tough, gruelling fight against a very dangerous man (wraps or no wraps; when Pac let him go, Margo seemed powerful to the body still) The last paragraph: :rofl :good
Ill say PAc points today. Ask me tomorrow and I can't promise the same answer. Pac gets better, Floyd gets more inactive and into the party life. I refuse to believe Floyd isn't drinking and doing drugs at the moment.
Why is his face ****ed, Devon Alexander i overrated him before the fight. He looked like a very weak man, the kind of person that would be stressed by a windy day.
I don't. Say what you want about him being inactive, for every one of his fights he turns up in perfect condition. If he was inclined to party he would have got into that lifestyle long ago. Even when he "retired" he trained constantly. Floyd is a consummate professional when it comes to preparation and training.
You know for me this fight is now changing, if you asked me 2 years ago who would win out of these two great fighters I would side with Mayweather, now its hard to say, here is my side to why? Floyd's last meaningful fight was with Hatton back in late 2007 meaning around 3 1/2 years ago, since then he took some time off and returned a faced a blown up way out of his weight class JMM and a shot Mosley, which in 2 fight Floyd had 1 round in which he got a bit tested and hurt (2nd vs Mosley). First of all these two factors ring activity and age Floyd is 34yrs old, what effects these two factors have in a real fight after 3 1/2 years vs his hardest opponent to date? These questions are hard to anwser until Floyd gets in the ring vs Pacman because fighters can get old in the ring overnight as we can not sample performance if the fighter at this stage of their career is not as active as he should be to give us an idea in real meaningful fights where he stands and see any decline. Now I know people say Floyd always in shape he is always in the gym, staying in shape, and fighting Pacman is a different ball game even a sport hell you better be in the best shape of your life to dance with him or beat him. I dont know, since Floyd has moved up to 147 he seems less moblie on his feet, he moves around the ring a lot less than he used to, Roach has also picked up on this. With Pacman's style vs Floyd style I see Floyd needing to use the ring well as Pacman will come forwards all night, so it comes down to this for me, If Floyd is still the same Floyd of lets say 3 or 4 years years ago I see him slowly picking Pacman apart because he is not that hard to his hit, Pac's defence is his footwork and timing plus headmovement also his attack is a form of defence but there are holes inbetween and Floyd can pick them with his timing, reach ad, and ring smarts. But on the other hand Pacman has the power to change a fight in a punch, if an old shot to **** gasing after the 2nd round Mosley can catch and hurt Floyd, be sure Pacman wont let him off the hook, Speed is KING he will follow up. Sum it up just want to see this fight, i still have hope it will happen, too much money on the line.
Didn't you know Darni, Floyd could've fought a peak Joe Louis and Marvin Hagler in those two fights and barely lost a round, he's that good ;-)
You know RJJr once said 'We on Gods time' as in dont think you can stay the same, father time catches up with all of us, and in a sport like boxing, thinking you can just jump back and be the same as you been in your younger years can be foolish, as i said 1 punch can change a fight.
Yep, people get fooled by Floyds personality. He lives the life behind closed doors and away from the cameras. He's the type who's running late at night just in case his opponent is running too...He probabily doesn't have tattoo's because he thinks it'll mess with his fight-game, lol. Floyd is that type of dedicated and looks after himself. Trust me, he's no James Toney.
He looked like one of my boys off the estate in his famous 'chicken' vid'. And them boys is all on crack....or meth, or miaow miaow. He looked sketchy. Maybe he was just losing the plot?!?
Lol. Flea...we can say whatever we want about Floyd's persona and we can pick more holes than swiss cheese in his resume, but the kid is ultra focussed and dedicated to his craft, always has been. It's not up for debate. :good
