Floyd Mayweather vs Aaron Chalmers

Chambers wasn’t the original opponent, Floyd was supposed to fight Liam Harrison in the U.K. but a knee injury prevented Liam from being ready in time. Shame, as Liam is a ferocious fighter and would’ve given a good account of himself.

 

Last night was a shocker I was cringing through the whole thing. Better atmosphere at my kids football on a Saturday morning.

The commentary team didn’t know if it was a 6 or an 8 rounder!!!! I just don’t see the point, no way mayweather made enough money from that to pay the flights for his entourage let alone their wages. Truly embarrassing from Floyd.

 

Can’t have been profitable then, especially with what Mayweather demands.

 

I doubt Mayweather's purse was affected by ticket sales. Whoever organised the event would have lost a huge amount of money.

 

I’ve said before a lot that it’s clear a lot of broadcasters and promoters in boxing are money launderers - look at DAZN and MTK for instance.

This is probably another instance of money laundering.

I really hope that the organizers of all these crazy events lose a lot of money so we get rid of it. A waste of time and money.

Floyd - How low can you go?

 

I get that it’s an exhibition but you got to at least drop him once otherwise it’s nothing more than light sparring, insanely boring! These “world tours” are ruining the legacy of the fighters. Pacquiao was in one the other week and Pac-Man was trying to get him out of there but couldn’t! He was chubby and unfit.

Austin Trout had a bare knuckle last weekend, now that was good. Shows the difference in being a regular hard man to an ex world champ. Busted him up badly with the jab alone in second gear.

Agree 100%. One of the most depressing things I've ever seen. Nothing but plastics in attendance with real fans priced out of it, not that real fans would be interested anyway.
Absolutely Pathetic. Floyd should be embarrassed, the great fighter that he was.

 

Did not even think about that cartoon bout last night and I watch nearly all cards.
