This is correct. I do think Arguello would beat him and likely stop him late. But it wouldn't be one sided.

Corrales literally stands no chance against Arguello.

    Mayweather decisions him though.

What does Corrales bring to a bought with Arguello? Especially considering lesser punchers than Arguello have had him arse over tit.

You cannot believe one of the greatest punchers of all time would smash a defensively porous straight on modern banger quicker than Floyd Mayweather, it's biased.

    Arguello beat this man: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=009529&cat=boxer

There is a bias for Arguello. He was a good boxer but no where near the level of Mayweather. Also lost to a PED cheat Pryor who I think Mayweather would comfortably beat.

Rooney wasn't really a good enough fighter to merit inclusion with all those other very good fighters Arguello beat.

There is bias for Mayweather. He is the most overrated fighter of all time.

You're underrating Corrales' defense and completely not considering that his power might garner some respect from Arguello. We aren't talking about Antonio Margarito here. The speed gap was bigger when Chico fought Casamayor and Mayweather, the only two real loses during his best years, one avenged.

Rooney wasn't that conditioned in the fight and was still getting hit clean despite slipping many punches. Corrales is better than Rooney.

Wasn't that conditioned? He did well enough against Davey Moore AT 11 STONE!

Do you realize I still predicted Arguello to stop Corrales?

@130 there aren't many I would pick against Arguello. Especially over 15. Dont have Mayweather being one.

Alexis stayed on the back foot (for the most part) in the Mancini fight and constantly walked him into hooks off the jab. No way does Floyd go at Alexis like Mancini did.
