    All of this statement is rubbish. Showtime to not have to pay Mayweather anything they can release him from his contract at anytime and do not have to except fights they are not interested in.

    Khan and his team were idiots not to make the Alexander fight, if he'd beaten Devon and gained the WBC Welterweight belt in the process it would have made him a Top 5 Welterweight and somewhat validated the Mayweather fight but without it he's just that guy who struggled with Julio Diaz in his last fight.

    Showtime know that Maidana is hot at the moment, not only his victory over Broner the most talked about fight of 2013 but he also makes him a strong contender in the fans eyes to pull off another upset over Mayweather so they know he's the best current opponent who will get them the most PPV's sales for the May 2014 PPV.

    Shame really as i still think Khan is the one boxer out there who has a genuine chance of beating or at least testing Mayweather.

    Stephen espinoza, wants khan as the opponent because of this supposed speed dream! But floyd will batter the both of them anyway, so it makes no difference.

    Showtime might be Mayweathers biggest problem in 2014 . They have lost money this year and will not do another 2013.
