real money isn't made from stadium sell-outs, it's made from casinos and PPV

you delusional ass, it will not happen in the uk. floyd is the most powerful man in boxing. He gets a guaranteed salary + ppv and revenue merchandise, so the numbers do not matter, as he gets paid anyway!

Khan ain't got a UK fan base? You mean, you don't like him and perhaps your friends don't like him so you conclude that he has no UK fan base. He's got no Hatton fan base but still a one of the biggest following in boxing today. That's the only reason the Floyd fight is happening.

Yea I'm kinda not feeling this fight at all I don't think Maidana will be any better. I'm almost at the point to where if it isnt Pacquiao then meh

I do agree I'm getting mad tired of MGM grand zzzzzzz there seems to be a stable of other exciting venues O2 Arena, MSG, Barclay, Bell Centre etc maybe somewhere in Dubai

Spot on mate, Hatton, Naseem, Lewis etc could sell out stadiums but not Khan. Even Mayweather v Alvarez or Cotto wouldn't sell out a stadium in the UK. Like someone said in a previous comment, the police would not allow tens of thousands of drunken boxing fans to roam the streets at 3am especially after drinking all day it would be carnage.

I'm a big fan of Floyd's but if he does fight Khan then he should be ashamed of himself, Khan has looked shot to bits in his last couple of fights. I would rather Floyd fought Thurman,Maidana,Lara,Brook and just admit that its a warm up to a bigger fight in September.

Floyd gas played his cards too late, there is nobody left for him to fight!! Unless of course he pulls a rabbit out the hat and fights Golovkin. I would even be happy with a middleweight contender to test the water. Even Kirkland at 154 would be entertaining.

Mayweather wanted this fight years ago when Khan was unproven, but Roach didn't let it happen.

Good thing it didn't happen then, Mayweather would have gotten credit for beating this hypejob.

Also if you want to gauge a fighters popularity then go along to a casino in the UK and watch a fight at 4am. Mist folk in there gave never heard of the fighters fighting. Yes people know Khan, he is a celebrity here (my nan knew who he was!!) but who will fork out to watch him fight? And who will stay up until 5am to watch him fight?!!

Considering Khan speed and explosive in out style. I think this is going to be better then Mayweather vs Canelo. At least we know Khan is coming to fight.

Back when Khan was undefeated and still riding the Olympic wave. Also he had a deal with sky I think and this wasn't PPV. Khan has a great style,I'm not knocking him at all. He has the heart of a true champion and always wants to fight the best no matter what. I remember his last fight and he was awful, he was a shadow of the man who beat Maidana (a fight I said over and over that he would never take).

I guarantee you this fight will do 1.5 -2 million. You have to think, Floyd carries a million buys on his own, thats a proven fact. Hell, he probably gets over 200,000 buys of people that HATE him just to see if he will lose..... You dont think between all the middle eastern fans, the uk and Khan fans in the United States he wont get 500-700,000 buys?

This fight will do big numbers.

    Breakdown:

Floyd will carry on his own: 900,000 buys
Casinos and bars in the us:100,000 buys
people pay to see floyd lose:100,00 buys
    Khan fans: 500,000

Thats 1.7 million buys and thats a pure guess...I I will bet khan can drum up much more than a fanbase of 500k between the us/uk. I wouldnt be shocked if it played with the 2 million mark because you just never know what the hell to expect from the UK.

I wouldn't doubt that it would sell. My only point is this fight would not sell out stadiums in the UK as easily as people think.
