    The fight won't happen because they are obviously grooming Thurman as a potential superstar to take Floyd's place when he retires in a few years. You can't keep feeding 20-something boxers to a 36 year old because you end up damaging the marketability of the sport. It is obvious GBP have placed their tullies on a half dozen boxers and had a few high profile flame outs, like Canelo and Broner. If this continues to happen, Floyd will retire and there will be nobody to replace him with.

    It is highly unlikely any of the blue chip prospects will be put in against Floyd until they have reached peak earning potential (like Maidana) or are damaged, yet high profile goods with no real future (Khan). They took a major risk making the Canelo fight, and they probably regret doing it now.

    At least you are cunning in your suggestion that Mayweather can beat Thurman...which is admirable :cool:

    The problem is that Mayweather can't find 4 more fighters he can beat & Thurman will flat out stomp Mayweather, Mayweather Sr. will not allow this, Mayweather Jr Ring IQ will help him duck Thurman you can bet on that :deal

    What do you see in Thurman that makes you believe he can beat Floyd? Thurman has good boxing skills, improving defence, decent ring IQ, above average movement, above average speed, and very good or possibly excellent power. He is a formidable overall package, not unlike Diego Corrales. But Floyd is a fighter of historical capabilities. What about Thurman should strike fear in Floyd?

    MM wouldnt have a shot in hell, kahn ? i dont think he could fight the perfect fight against floyd for 12 rounds.

    i studid the floyd nelo fight and thats the first time i can say age has started catching up with him.. i dont know if he complete 4 more fights for sho. already 37. possibly it was all the weight that slowed him but he was like him quicksand for floyd
