Yes he fought Prescott during Ramadan. Since then he never has, he thought he could fast and then fight later on in the night, he clearly learned his lesson and never fought again during it. Whats your point?

Well that answers how and why he fought Prescott during Ramadan in 2008.

    :good

So this is no real excuse then, just a personal preference.

Right? Not like he's a late-life convert and only just hopped on the Allah bandwagon.

So it is not a religious requirement (as explained by Unforgiven) it is a personal preference, so anybody who does question him about not fighting in September is not being insulting, being offensive or ignorant.

Just would like that cleared up so people can question it without fear of being accused of all sorts.

So Khan has chosen not to fight Mayweather in September. You see the point is Khan has shouted for long enough for a shot at Mayweather and has chosen not to entertain a September fight though nothing is really stopping him.

    Exactly

as explained to me by Unforgiven, there is nothing actually stopping him anyway and Khan has fought DURING Ramadan before.

It just melts my tiny mind all this. Does anything Amir Khan make sense?

I think if the fight really gets offered and Floyd's team push for it Khan will fight in Sept, Floyd maybe offer a mid Sept date? after all this is a person following his faith and duties Floyd would understand that..

Amir Khan fought Scott Lawton in the last week of Ramadan 2007.
He won the fight in the 4th round.

He got iced by Prescott the following year. He wants to blame Ramadan, fair enough.
Most of us reckoned it was a dodgy chin and a terrible defense.

    It's his choice.

Just like to add if he fought Mayweather in September it would be after Ramadan so it would just be training during Ramadan not the fight.
So he would not have to fast directly before the fight.

He wouldn't even need to necessarily train during Ramadan, nor even during his typical proscribed 1 month rest period after Ramadan.

    exactly

Without meaning to sound disrespectful it does seem like he picks and chooses, beats Scott Lawton no problem with Ramadan, loses to Prescott blames Ramadan... then turns on Skype and forgets he is a Muslim.

It is hard to take him seriously.
