at 147 who wins and why? imo Mayweather outboxes him through 12 rounds i think it would be like Wright vs Trinidad but loads more movement from Mayweather
When you see PBF - Baldomir, and then you see Trinidad - Oba Carr how do you come to that conclusion? Winky Wright was a Southpaw Middleweight well past Tito's prime.
Don't know Tito was so strong fast and relentless with huge power at that weight, that if Floyd manage to get evasive He will not have the time to counter every time, Tito could win a close UD by outworking Floyd. Floyd could put a Clottey kind of performance against Cotto, doing well and win some rounds but losing others by being to defensive. And in 147 lbs Tito had a jab.
:goodvery sensible Tito had a jab and a long right hand with some decent movement that made you come to him. Like the Carr fight.
Mayweather on points in a dangerous fight for him,Tito would win a few rounds but floyd would be too quick..
I came to a conclusion because i think Mayweather would be too skilled he would make Trindad miss a lot and would just make him pay for just smart boxing would lead the way for Floyd imo
Tito would walk him down. I have Tito. Mayweather doesn't have the power to keep Tito off. I think Tito would push him into the ropes but in the ropes Tito would hurt him, most likely by left hook to the body.
As much as I would have liked to see Tito knock Floyd the #$%@ out... he would've dominated Trinidad and won a wide UD...but at the same tiime he would never have fought Trinidad either... he would've ducked Tito the same way he's ducked Margarito, Cotto and Pacquiao.
147 Mayweather with his legs intact fighting off the back foot pot shotting and moving would leave Tito chasing shadows just like he was against Oscar.
I think Tito gets a bit overrated here. Anyone who boxed him made his skills look ordinary. He had excellent power, but besides that he was just a ordinary fighter (not saying he wasn't a very good fighter, but rather saying if you can negate the power, he is made to be ordinary). He had an ok chin, ok speed, ok footwork etc. With that being said, Floyd is at a size disadvantage, as Tito is close to 6' and much physically bigger and stronger than Floyd. Mayweather could fight a tactical fight and win a UD in a snoozefest (cat and mouse type of fight), or he could stand his ground and probably get KO'd late. I'll go with the former.
Floyd is way more skilled then Baldomir, The only fighter he has ever fought that started his career at 147. Problem is Floyd did not have the fire power to keep Baldy off him and had to run for his life and stink the fight out. Now consider the skill difference between Tito and Baldy. As you can see I am a fan of Floyd's skill, but this is a very bad match up for him. You can be way more skillled then a fighter but there is a point where size does matter. At this point in his WW career I don't see how he keeps Tito off him. In all likelyhood he brakes his right hand and hurts his left wrist then he is ****ed.
