I honestly think this would be one of the most important fights in the history of boxing....Assuming Pacman gets by Hatton.

If Mayweather can beat Pacquiao decisively, he (imo) will be considered one of the top 5 boxers of all time. And if Pacman can beat mayweather decisively, I think Pacman has a legit case for being considered as the best p4p boxer of all tiem.

Also, if this is promoted right and the mainstream media realizes the magnitude of this fight, I think all PPV records will be shattered. Thoughts?

I'm a big PBF fans but beating Pac won't make him top 5 ATG. He could beat Williams, Cotto, Shane, Clottey and Kirkland it still wouldn't be enough. Top 10 is impossible this day in age to reach the old fighters are put up on an unreachable pedastal. If he beats Pac he should be top 25 to 30 ATG IMO.

floyd would ko pacman floyds bigger than him which is a breath of fresh air for floyd and his defense would nullify pacmans powers..pacman would get embarrased

Cotto v. Floyd would be interesting.
Pac v. Floyd, though, would be even more of a farce than the "Dream." Even Pac would catch tons of flak for taking it - the media would treat it as a "fool me twice" situation.

    I would as well.

Cotto would've been the one to face DLH. Not Pacman. And Cotto would be the sport's shining star right now. Not Pacman. Being I'm a bigger Cotto fan than a pacman fan, it's quite a shame.

That said, it's worked out that Pacman has this opportunity.

The media would treat it badly? How? They learned there lesson when they treated the DLH fight like it was an easy win for oscar.

Also, Pacman will be the one getting hyped up (assuming he gets by hatton)...Not Floyd. Which IMO, is just what Floyd had in mind when he decided to 'retire'. He wanted people to doubt him.

exaggerate much? Top 5 all time?

And, although, I am loving the possibility of this mega-fight, it would have no chance to top DLH-Mayweather in buys. DLH simply has an enormous following.

Indeed Pac-Mayweather would be an important fight and commercial media should and would perpetuate the hype. I personally feel that it would be a bigger win for Pac than it would for PBF simply because he's the naturally smaller fighter moving up but none the less a victory for either fighter would propel their resume and enhance their ATG status.

    I agree.

If Pacman has Morales, Barrera, Marquez, De La Hoya, Hatton and Mayweather on his resume....After starting his career at like 106? Just wow.

PAC vs PBF will be a great fight considering these guys were the last p4p kings. there are alot of other good fights for both Pac and Pbf but considering the hype p4p has brought... this one is hard to dismiss..

We don't know how much Mayweather has left, I think this is a risky fight for Floyd, Pacman's going to win it by UD if it happens, his activity and relentless ways will be too much even for one of the best defenses in boxing.

PBF embarrasses Pac before stopping him late. PBF is a stylistic nightmare for Pac.:deal
