just watched duran vs dejesus I

most fighters today he would beat with those heavy hands, constant pressure, great timing, counter punching, burst of foot speed to atttack, and seeming abilty to walk through other guys punches. but he is still flat footed and wants to square up.

Money would pot shot this guy all night. and be gone with nothing to hit back at.

The DeJesus fights are great. Watch the other 2.

Duran is certainly not flat footed and I'm not seeing this squaring up so I'll assume youre trolling. The Ken Buchanan fight is proof of Duran's mobility against a master boxer with brilliant footwork. Buchanan was more mobile than Floyd. Anyway this "Be gone with nothing to hit" is not even Floyd's style. He's not that fleet of foot. You'd think you were talking about Willie Pep not Mayweather. Mayweather can be pinned. Infact he gets pinned to the ropes a lot by pressure fighters. It's hitting him clean that's the problem because he shells up and holds so well. As for pot shooting Floyd doesn't throw enough to beat Duran and Duran would sneer with contempt at his power.

At lightweight and at his best it's a fight Duran never loses.

Exactly. Mayweather doesn't have that kind of lust for battle and would most likely freeze under pressure when he realises what he stepped in the ring with.

Make sure and watch Duran vs Laing and Duran vs Hearns. Just watch all the 'old fat' Duran performances because that's the only versions of Duran Floyd would agree to fight.

duran s style is just all wrong to beat floyd. benitez hit him with right hand leads all night.
he did show angles to benitez but still flat footed.

floyds stamina and foot work would keep him out of danger of the beast

old saying style make fights and duran is just wrong to beat mayweather.

hearns vs duran not good for evaluating duran career. thats like looking at ali vs spinks. they are only a shell of themselves

I still stick by my evaluation prime duran atg vs prime mayweather best defensive fighter ever

mayweather is not going to be there to be hit. and duran can be hit with right hand leads floyds favorite punch.

If you're evaluating prime Duran vs prime Floyd then why are you brining up Duran vs Benitez and other fights where Duran was past his best and outside his prime weight? If we're talking prime Duran then it's at lightweight.
