not really, drug addicts aren't how people make them out to be, alot of them are normal and work, they just have an addiction.

Every town has its ghetto and a parent on drugs is usually a lost parent.

Floyd is not from the ghetto, his family had at least middle class money, my parents lived near where the mayweathers are from when they were first married.

I hear there are quite a few large skinhead movements in Sweden (I do recall the time african-american tourists were atttacked by Swedish neo-nazis during the euro soccer championships not that long ago)?

How the **** is saying somebody is middle class "hating" ? How ****ing sad of a culture do you live in that saying somebody is NOT ghetto is an insult, what are you 15? If I'm insulting Floyd by saying he lived in a middle class area of Grand Rapids I'm insulting my own ****ing family.

He lived very near my parents first home in Grand Rapids, its middle class.

****, I live in Indy like you, I would consider my apt on 38th street about equal or even more ghetto than where Floyd is from.

Again, I'm not hating or discrediting Floyd in any way, I am merely questioning his personality and his charisma. I bet there's a ton of people crossing their fingers come fight night, hoping that Floyd gets his head smashed in, I doubt that will ever happend. But I am not the one digging deep and doing some research about Floyd, because he just leaves it all out there himself, he keeps talking about his background, and he keeps waving them money in the camera. And next thing you know, he's in an interview saying money isn't everything, the only thing I want is some feedback on this from Floyd supporters, looks like there's two of them giving a ****, and they aren't even reading what I have to say, but instead calls me a racist, a hater and whatnot.
Again, taken from Floyds own words.. he says he gives credit to those who deserved it, in my point of view, Jeff, Floyd SR and many others deserve that credit, looks like he had a good, average upbringing.

The fact of the matter is that Grand Rapids has not always been a great place. It was largely a run down suburb until the Devoss' family poured money into the place.

I'm not saying whether FLoyd grew up poor or middle class, but according to what he's said and other things concerning his family business, it wouldn't be hard to believe. Especially since Floyd's mother was on drugs, he father went to jail and was shot, and his mother and father don't get along. I don't think that things were all that great. Despite a lot of you guys eager to say the opposite of whatever he says, it is more than likely true.
