Well if Mayweather has done one good thing for society it's the fact that at least one black man in the world is not considered a thug.

No, he might very well have pretended to be something he wasnt, but he grew up in an average, middleclass area of an average, middleclass city.

He might have had a terribly rough childhood for all I know, lots of middle class people do. All I am saying is that he didn't grow up in a "bad part of town"

 

I live in Grand Rapids and have for 40 years, while it's not Detroit it has some areas I dont care to drive thru. I know where Floyd grew up and the school he went to, it is'nt the worst part of town but far from the best.
