The first shot didn't hurt him as much as the second one. The second shot hit him in the temple and that was the harder punch. The first shot stunned him and he reacted smartly by grabbing and smothering. His chin is fine, a temple shot like the one he got hit with especially because he didn't see it is one of the worst kind of shots you can take.
Believe it or not there is a middle ground between glass and cast iron. As mentioned I think Floyd's chin on a scale of 1-10 is about a 7-7.5 range. That's hardly a slam at the guy, but face it he ain't taking the shots Tyson took in the Lewis fight and lasting anywhere close to that long.
