    Arum already tried Chavez Jr on the Pac undercards and it still couldn't beat Mayweather vs Cotto numbers with Canelo :smoke

    Mayweather would still make more money than against any other fight with a 50-50 split, plus it would pave the way for a rematch if it was a good fight. For a guy self-proclaimed to be the center of the 'money' team, by not hammering out a deal with Pacquaio and not getting in the ring, he has lost millions.

    Both are to blame in part for the fight not happening. But arguing or refusing to fight because of 5-10% of 100+ million is a b/s excuse in my opinion.

    You have to take in consideration that Pacs main fan base is in the Phillipines. I always felt Pac should use Chavez jr on his under cards just like Floyd uses Canelo. It's all strategy for all this to be talked about and argued.

    Floyd uses Canelo??..Really?...GBP puts Canel on the card man...it isn't even relevant. Bradley was on Pac's card with JMM 3. Ortiz was a no namer and had never even co headlined a ppv while Bradley did, and Ortiz-Mayweather still did bigger numbers over Pacquiao-Marquez 3.

    I didn't see Canelo with Floyd, when Floyd did 1,005,000 buys with Marquez. Nor when he did 2,400,000 with Oscar, nor 920,000 with Ricky.

    Do you think "where" the fanbase comes from has anything to do with the money split? They are going to look at raw numbers and what these fighters produce in revenue and what they take home. Manny gets killed in this part with Floyd.

    Come on bro its all strategy. The non-common "denominator" here is Cotto. Pacs main fan base is in third world country Phillipines.

    Floyd=popular
    Canelo=all Mexicans watch
    Cotto=all Puerto Ricans watch

    I'll say it again:

    60-40 for the winner
    70-30 if by KO

    Make the damn fight already! If not, this argument will never end and the fight will never happen.

    That is not a fair deal.

    Please explain how that is fair..:think

    There is just over 100 million on the table.

    Floyd has a career high of $45 million and Manny a career high of $25 million.

    Floyd has a high revenue of $138,000,000 and Manny has a career high revenue of $72,000,000.

    Floyd has a 2nd place high revenue of $94,000,000.
    Manny has a 2nd place high revenue of $71,000,000

    Can't leave anything in the hands of the judges.

    Williams Lara
    Whitaker Chavez.

    So your idea is not a fair one at all.

    Exactly! Make the damn fight. Manny could have taken a career high $40,000,000 to fight Floyd and instead ran to Bradley where he made just over half of what he could have made with Floyd.

    The focus of my thread was more for Cotto :nut That's why I said he was the non-common denominator of the comparison to your post.

    Cotto, Floyd, Canelo beats Pac, Chavez jr in buys any day. :nut

    This is why we haven't seen this fight. Because of people that think this way. People have to understand that these guys' egos (Bob, Manny, Floyd, GBP, etc) will not budge to who should earn more. That's why I say that the fairest thing I could think of that both can maybe agree is to a 60-40 split and 70-30 if by KO. I can't think of another way for a good agreement to satisfy all parties. I am speaking as a fan of boxing not as a fan of a particular fighter.

    It does'nt matter anymore, the fight has lost its lustre.

    Mayweather is the much better fighter and he does sell more PPV's, logical he should get a bigger share of the profits.

    Pacroid missed the bus and lost his chance at 50/50!

    I'm glad Pac lost to be honest. ( how many times did floyd say " pac you're next " during his pres-cons? ) That way, floyd won't be riding on the pac train to promote his fights. Now, Floyd actually has to fight somebody bigger at 154 or 160 without using pac's name to promote his fights.

    Down goes the highest ppv revenue in boxing history down the toilet. Pac doesn't care.

    Let's hear it from floyd. So far, there has not been any word regarding that. LOL I WONDER WHY? lol
