You would give a chance at knocking him out? Stanley Ketchel was a career middleweight and knocked down Johnson with a "glancing" blow as some posters here claim. He also knocked out bonafide heavies. What about Michael Moorer connecting solidly? He knocked out some pretty durable heavyweights. Alex Stewart didn't have an iron chin, but he was hard to convince to stay down to say the least. Botha was very durable, Jirov was as well, managed to stun the iron chinned Holyfield and had a 100% KO ratio at LHW, which is where Patterson fought at for the first few years of his career. How about... Bob Foster? Michalczewski?
I have the rough copy of the 1909 "Johnson-Ketchel" fight from California on tape....... Ketchel TAGGED Johnson with a wicked shot in round 12; not glancing at all....... Johnson was decked, but he got up pissed, and KO'd Ketchel's ass a second or two later....... Ketchel was out like a bulb......... MR.BILL
Johnson threw the last punch so hard he went down with Ketchel. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78msYCUaQuE[/ame]
