Whilst Mosley is certainly not at his peak anymore he is still top quality and a little while away from not being able to pull the trigger.

The reason he looked so tentative and unable to pull the trigger was because he couldn't work Floyd out and also because of Floyd's power. I know Floyd's no power puncher but what power he does have coupled with his speed, accuracy and timing make his shots hard enough for people to respect his power and not just try and walk right through him.

If you mean by a punch. Then probably yes. Although I remember Chop Chop catching him quite good. Seeing it again however it doesn't seem as bad as when watching it live. I think it is the myth around mayweather that says he cannot be hit in a fight which is insane considering there is 12 rounds to do it.

i disagree, it was as bad as it looked. f you watch his legs after they broke up he was legitimately hurt. also look at his face between rds in the corner and the corners concern. they know their fighter and knew he was hurt.

Agreed. But in Floyd's defense, he came out in the 3rd round completely unfazed.

Nope. DeMarcus Corley was banging him AND had the stamina to follow it up. Chop Chop was taking it to him. Zab, IMHO caught him with cleaner shots and was far more "mean" with his shots.

I will say this is about one of the CLEANEST shots I have seen him tagged with. He wasnt' rolling or anything. He was there to be hit.

    thanks for the pic.:good

did you see how floyd reacts after the first punch? He instinctively grab shane's hand right there to stop the possible followup. And the 2nd punch, lowering his head both hands up and then go for a clinch, again to disrupt the momentum. Clearly it would have been knockdown that may end up the fight earlier. Yeah, he really is a hell of a talented boxer.

All the second round did was make Mayweather pissed. He took Shanes best shots and was ready to go after that. Did you see Mayweather on the stool between rounds 2 and 3. He looked ok but to make sure he was aware Roger went to pour a lil water on the back of floyds neck, but Mayweather quickly was like stop im good. He showed me right then that he was ok and ready to go back out and fight, and fight he did.

Couldn't pull the trigger anymore? The guy knocked out Margarito in his last bout...yes Margarito who supposedly had the best chin in the sport after beating Cotto.
Obviously it was over a year since Mosley's last bout...and at his age a year out can have a dramatic effect. But if you watch round 2 again...Mosley hurt Mayweather and tried to follow it up, but Mayweather tied him up and Mosley couldn't let his punches go. Replace Mayweather with almost any other top welterweight last night...if Mosley would have caught them with those punches, you would have seen Mosley go on to get at least a knockdown!!

On the side of the head TEMPLE SHOT! I knew it those shots mess up your equilibrium so much. That second shot really got him.

I've watched nearly all of his fights and definitely all his big ones...In the Judah fight he was hurt but it lasted perhaps 15-20 seconds. In the Corley fight he got tagged but nothing too serious. Yesterday he got hit by Mosley's signature punch and his leg's stiffened. On top of that he got hit by another huge punch around a minute later. No one has been able to tee off on Floyd before. Floyd is a true warrior and that was show beyond doubt.

Long Live the King....all the haterz bow down to greatness

I said in my in pre fight thread analysis that the overhand right would be key for Shane and i'll be damned if it wasn't.

You are right,Mayweather showed his great defence. The moment that big shot landed he grabbed Mosley's hand with his two so Mosley couldnt follow up and then smothered him. That gave Mayweather time to recover and it tired Mosley in the process as well.

In the end that was a great fight

It was a good win and he deserves credit, not for beating him but by the way he beat him, but Shane is pushing 40, this looked very similar to Pac vs ODLH, luckily PBF's LACK OF POWER saved Mosley from getting KTFO but he just didn't have the speed or reflexes to fight his fight. But Mayweather should get credit because Mosley can still handle himself, he just can't beat any elites with speed anymore except Berto.
