This fight will definately do around 1.5 million. Richard Schaffer is a smart man, and knows his projections.
The price will keep it under 1 million IMO. But it will do 750K. Someone mentioned PBF only did 360K at most before DLH. Well, that was BEFORE DLH! Beating DLH put PBF's name out there, 24/7 helps, and his mouth getting him hatred around the world helps. And you better believe that both having unbeaten records matters.
Most cable companies and dish networks are selling this fight for $54.95(same as DLH/Mayweather). I'll be shocked if it does less than 1 million
My company said $65.... Even so, lets say it's in between our #'s......still very high considering it's a NON HW, Non DLH event.
Because of the De La Hoya fight, Mayweather is now a household name. 24/7 will help promote this fight tremendously. Hatton is fairly well-known, but not amongst casual fans. Manfredo was a favorite from the contender, but most won't know that he is on the undercard. I'd say this does around 600,000.
600k to 900k max, doubt it'll go higher than that. This IS a megafight but definitely not bigger than the DLH fight even though I'm looking forward to this MORE than I did DLH/PBF.
I guess most people here don't respect Richard Schaffer's projections. For me, 1 million is the floor.
