I hope Sergio accepts and I hope Floyd doesn't impose too big a penalty for not making weight, seeing as Sergio has a fight at 160 in March. If Martinez can come in at 152-154 we'd get a better fight and Floyd will get a taste of justice for what he did to Marquez.

Martinez was 180lbs for the 30 day weigh in against Williams, he would be a damn zombie coming in at 150.

At the start of an 8 week training camp Martinez probably weighs 185+ lbs

You think it’s reasonable for him to prepare for a fight in mid March, try and escape that unscathed, and then immediately jump into only a month and a half of preparation (where he has to drain to 150) for the biggest fight of his career?

    Don’t think so.

Maybe Mayweather is expecting Macklin to be paid step-aside money. But even then, 150 is too much.

And after the call, seriously negotiate. low key negotiations would be more credible than loud tweets.

Didn't Sergio already say he would be willing to go down to 150 when he was chasing Pac?

Sergio would chop his dick off to fight Floyd and Pac. That's how desperate he is. But it still doesn't make it the right and fair thing.

But with that said, Floyd's not a huge welterweight to begin with, and fighting a man of Martinez's size is a massive risk. Making him boil to 150 would even things out, he feels.

I think Martinez could probably make 150lbs, but he would not be competitive.

    154lbs, or nothing.

Because he can't make 150 by then without killing himself fight or no fight in March

In fact Martinez can't make 150 and be effective full stop IMO

Exactly,Floyd didn't choose 150.Sergio's team offered it....unlike Pacquiao who enforced catchweights!
