He didn't. He merely commented on a rumour that was already out there, take a bow Paulie!

"Moving" is being nice considering Cotto at that point was avoiding confrontation knowing taht Manny was going in for the kill. Cotto's mind set at some point changed when knowing he wasn't going to beat Manny.. So he went into survival mode. No matter how good you are it's hard to KO a guy in survival mode and taht's exactly what Miguel was in. He was running.....but if you want to call it "moving" that's fine as well as long as we know he was looking to LAST the distance instead of going for the KO b/c that was his only chance at winning.

Nah.....Paulie stated before....RIGHT before the cotto fight that Cotto would beat Manny. Never said anything about PEDs or Roids. Floyd stated DURING the fight with Cotto that PAC is on Roids or PEDs and that Paulie was sitting NEXT to Sr and overheard him say it. Paulie didn't start the rumors he co-signed on it.

Even if that is true.......PAC or BANE "can't fight worth ****"......so why be concerned with fighting a guy you know you can beat regardless of what he is suspected of taking? DLH beat Shane and Vargas on PEDs, roids or what have you......Roids didnt improve Vargas's chin and it didn't improve shanes skills. If PAC can't fight, yet offers a HUGE upside of $40 Mill....why not take the easy payday and beat any form of Manny that walks through the ropes?

    Speculation.

Besides, although Paulie has a motormouth he doesn't seem the type to very publically state a belief based purely on him having heard it from an old ex-crackhead. I'll bet it came from multiple sources - remember that during the negotiations Pac's team wanted to know what the penalty would be if the allegations were proven to be true and whether a positive test could be kept quiet...

That's called showmanship and rivalry. Boxing has thrived on statements like this for decades - Ali for one was a master of such retorts.

Would you rather he praised the 'skill' of someone he openly believes to be a drug cheat when that person might be fighting his son, behaviour unchecked?

As someone said, he walked through some pretty big lefthooks, surely comparable type punches that had hurt him in the past by smaller guys?
Im not agreeing with anyone just saying this is the main reason Sr spoke up, because he was amazed how Pac's punch resistance has improved so much moving up in weight, when he has clearly taken some pretty good shots and shown no ill affects.

Exactly....its one thing to have an opinion and speculate, but when you put it out there to be spread in national media outlets and you are stating that he is on something it becomes an accusation.

Paulie STATED himself that he heard Floyd saying it and that he AGREED with him. That email that you are referencing.....where is it?:huh Stating that members of team PAC wanted to know what the penalties would be for testing dirty. And who wrote the email? And why would they send that email to members of team Floyd? And if team Mayweather has such an email why is it NOT out there as proof? Simple for me....the email never exsisted.

Not hard to beat a guy when moving on the backfoot if you are boxing's best counter puncher though.

Seriously Floyd would make beating 'Escobar' look easy.

Easy to answer. It's being saved for evidence in court in Manny's own case to better expose Manny much more publically.

Hell...he could still talk **** all he wants....my question is why ask for testing? Make your opinion know that you think he's a cheat.....they've made statments about Manny being over rated, who can't fight, who they'd dominated and outclass. Why not continue to be "YOU"...brash, boastful and cocky, yet still ensure the fight is made so you can prove it in the ring? It would be one thing if Sr said "damn.....PAC is good"...then as he improved and got bigger and better state "Im begining to question what PAC is taking to improve this much"

Sr never did that...he's ALWAYS said that Manny anin't that good and that Floyd Jr would beat that ass if the fight was made. Only AFTER knowing that Floyd Jr was NEXT in line to face PAC did he start these rumors and that's where the demands for extra testing started which killed the fight.

No doubt Floyd is a great counter puncher....just think of how hard it be for Floyd to KO his opponent who was constantly moving to survive and pretty much refused to engage? Floyd needs his opponents to open up with Offense to counter......Manny had a tough time getting the opportunties to end the fight with Miguel due to his survival mentality.
