They have television programs that are focused on life in prison, dating in prison, gangs in prison, etc. Lockup is one of the most popular shows in that sprectrum. http://www.msnbc.com/lockup
Yeah seriously, for a fight of this magnitude, the marketing is severely lacking. Even the official poster looks like it was done by an amateur with paintshop and WordArt 97. I mean I barely even see it mentioned on Social Media unless its from boxing pages. It should have been pushed more to the mainstream, the general sporting fans the ones that watched Tyson Lewis and not much else.
Yup they are saving a lot of money by hiring MVC and boxing master to do all the promotions for this fight .
They do 24 7/All Access to promote the others guys usually. Neither guy in this fight needs promoting.
the 1 hour doc from hbo will go into detail about the pac vs may story from the moment the fight was talked about to now should be interesting
Exactly. The purpose of marketing is to draw in the casual observer, and the price of ppv is so high, it will lessen the buys. This was my point in creating this thread.
You're having four 30 min Showtime All Access's starting in 4 days. As well as 2 1-hour HBO episodes + an HBO After Dark. It's not that bad. Plus, there will be a media day in like a week which will be tons of promotion.
