the day the fight was announced Ellerbe said no catchweight, we leave that to
    the catchweight king. Clear enough?

I would like to think so , but Ellerbe isnt exactly the fountain of truth either.

I dont think it makes any difference to the outcome , I just find it puzzling that this has come up today.

Cotto's always been a big guy when he fought 140-147, and always seemed like a natural to compete at LMW.

I don't suppose 150 is so far away from 153 or so which he weighed when he fought last. And I guess he really don't need to give Floyd any excuses, so if it's at 150, so be it. I'm just happy it's a superstar fight. Heck, it's Floyd biggest challenge since Castillo or Corrales IMO. :good

I find it puzzling that you would give an unheard of, unreliable source and their spotty information any credibility at all...but beyond that bring it to a forum of your peers as some sort of fact...that's whats "puzzling".

I was simply looking at an update on Miguel Cotto , noticed a point within the lead story and presented it to this forum. If its wrong its wrong , but this is the latest information on the fight of the year.

*****s:"PAC is a ****ing catchweight King. What a disgrace. He's draining all his opponents. Our boy Floyd would never do that. He ain't no catchweight fighter. "

After learning that Floyd Cotto fight is at 150:

*****s:"It's still legit. Cotto is a natural welter. They're of the same size. "

    ****ing hypocrites.

the way floyd has been running his mouth in the past, his fights must...

    -have an OSDT.

...seems like floyd has hypocritically given up on 2 of those 3.

I agree on this point. But beating Cotto at 150 for Floyd, even 3 yrs later is still as legit as Pac beating him at 145.

I like this fight at either weight. As a Cotto fan and a Floyd hater, I'd rather see Cotto with an advantage, and draining to 150 is a disadvantage coming into the fight, but he's still the best test for Floyd and the most appealing fight to be made outside Pac.
