Quite simply, anyone who uses Gatti or Hatton as an indication for what would happen in the event of a Cotto vs Mayweather fight does not know the sweet science. There are many factors which make Cotto the superior fighter to Hatton. Better body attack, more natural 147lb fighter, more power, better at cutting off the ring, better jab, etc. Hell if you just gave Hatton a good jab alone the fight would have been different (not the result, but the events leading up to it). For anyone who has boxed, you can take two identical fighters, and give one a jab, and just watch how that one seperates himself quickly just in sparring in the gym.

Even in his prime Gatti woulda got KO'd by Cotto in under 7 rounds. At his age in this video Cotto woulda KO'd him in under 3 rounds.
