Floyd would have had problems with Margarito

Because Margarito has the skills of Pacquiao for sure.

Margarito can't cut off the ring worth for ****, he couldn't do it against Clottey for crying out loud. Terrible speed, accuracy and far too predictable. This would be worse than the Baldomir fight. Those lousy ass predictable uppercuts while he has opponents cornered won't land on Mayweather.

 

margo was laughing at cottos punches too....unfortunately so many landed accurately on his eye it was completely shut and he couldnt see out of it....lol...stfu

 

The problems will start when he starts to land and he's not landing anything significant against Mayweather. So he's free to load up his gloves, ass and fans.

 

Margarito at his peak was huge in boxing. Don't act like he was a tomato can. He had a scary aura about him.

I would have loved to see this fight before he was ruined.

Floyd would have had problems with any of the big, top welters that he didn't fight years ago and opted to retire.

 

Margarito would of got pot shot all night with that straight right. And hitting Mayweather? Cotto is 2 times faster than Margarito. No happening...

 

i didnt say he was a tomato can.....but lets not get carried away and call him "huge in boxing"....he was a known name.....but there were many other names, during his peak, that were just as "big"......he wasnt special.....you act as if floyd can line up every guy some fans want to see him fight...and make them all happen

 

sure...ok..he might have landed some punches....so what?....he landed punches on cotto in the rematch(sans plaster wraps)...they didnt do much....and he would have landed less on floyd than he did on cotto....thats for damn sure

 

Size would be Floyd's only problem. Margarito is nowhere near the skill level of Cotto, doesn't have the same style at all. Stop trying to compare apples to oranges.

 

Marg is a walking punching bag with no concept on defense and his footwork is horrid. i will be impressed if he wins a single round

 

I don't think that Floyd has the power to do a Mosley on Margo. He was going to find a way to win no way by KO IMAO and it was not going to be a walk in the park. I can see him braking hand or something like that in the fight while punching the plodding Margo.

 

a slow basic fighter who uses his face as a punchbag has no chance v mayweather.
