floyds belts

Right.. Floyd has been basically going around taking everyone's belts.. Someone up there said you should drop the belt if you don't fight the #1 guy and for everyone that's Floyd.. They can fight Floyd but Floyd can't fight them?

People also say there's too many belts, then complain that Floyd is going around collecting all the belts because they're not challenges.. What do you really want from the man?

 

Money talks and bull**** walks. Mayweather makes the money and the belts are bull****. You can take it from there.

 

I can't agree man, interim titles don't matter, regional titles don't matter. But the actual Championships will always matter, people just like to pick and choose who they want to consider a champ and devalue anybody they don't like that's an actual champ.

If titles didn't matter people wouldn't be complaining about guys like GGG not yet getting a shot at the Lineal MW Title. the fact is winning a REAL Title and establishing yourself as one of the 4/5 best in your division will always mean something regardless if your a fan or not.

 

Sorry but it's this type of thinking that has watered down championships !

I didn't start nor do I advocate that type of thinking. That's just the way it is. It's about money and you know that as well as I do. Don't try and blame the **** on Mayweather. He's just playing the game the way it's scripted. Boxing is promoted more for it's entertainment value and it's ability to make money. It's not a sport that can be entertaining but rather entertainment that happens to be a sport.

Occasionally yes,Floyd gives us the match(like Canelo) but like this year.Maidana was not number #1 WW,hell Maidana got his rankings by crooked sanctioning bodies.who gifted the belt to Broner like candy.

And then Floyd wastes another match which this man,yes.somebody was calling for the rematch.but it wasn't number 1 match what public wanted.and again Maidana was not number #1.

Now there are talks that number #9 and #10 fight winner possibly faces Floyd next.

IF man claims to be the best,and is P4P best.also champ in WW it just look stupid that Floyd don't even regularly fights against number #1 fighter on his division.

And when he does that *****s goes crazy.last happened against Alvarez(cathweight dimishes that little bit) and before that excatly when?

And yes other boxers are also doing this bull****.but *****s don't be so sensitive.this thread was about Floyd and his titles.go create another one about other fighter if you want to.

If we got to see him perform 1-2times a year.then it should always be against the best no questions asked.

Of course boxing is different kind of sport,but again in year 2014 we don't clearly know,who is the number #1 WW(applies to most of the weighclasses too)

 

You are correct.boxing is sometimes close to pro wrestling.

And partly we can blame Floyd for that.Hopkins is 1000yrs old and today he is entering the ring against the most dangerous man in LHW.Hopkins said it best,for him it's about legacy.that tells everything.one is on the sport because of the money and other is after legacy.


And when De La Hoya was the biggest attraction in boxing,he tried to change it.and regularly fought against the best.made loads of money,but was also chasing legacy.

Floyd could be trolling,but now we live in era.where it's full of excuses and it's going again in the wrong direction.luckily Canelo has shown signs of improvement in that aspect.

Floyd is hell of a boxer.and ATG.but the day when he retires it could be good for boxing in general

If you think the bradley rematch was useless, what do you call the maidana rematch? At least pac was coming from an official loss to bradley and bradley was considered #2 WW and top 3p4p fighter.

 

Floyds has only really won about 3 genuine belts. The rest are all just handed to him. Money talks. It's a farce.
