Hatton was in his prime but out of his ideal weight class.

Both May and Pacquiao look bad when you ask that question.

When did I say Margo was prime? Don't think I mentioned him.

You still haven't told me what made Clottey not prime....was his timing worse, was his stamina reduced? Would the clottey that lost to Margo have done any better against pac? What makes you think so? A fighter being limited has nothing to do with is he prime. He's just a limited fighter.

The point I wanna make is that the idea of a win not being impressive because fighter A wasn't in his prime or a win being made out to be more then it really was because fighter B was prime, is a stupid way of going about rating a win. The word gets over used way too much around here without people really thinking about its value.

Clottey's losses to Margarito, Cotto, and Pacquiao are more impressive than anything Floyd has done at welterweight. How can anyone say Clottey wasn't an elite welterweight?

I wasn't addressing you with the Margo comments it was another poster but I couldn't be bothered to quote him.

My arguement isn't ment to discredit PAC for his fight with Clottey as I clearly thought it w a horrible match up. My thoughts are Clottey was in with Cotto who was clearly damaged and shaken after the Margo fight. Clottey had everything to gain and nothing to lose with Cotto there for the taking.

Now I'm sure Clottey could see the openings plus he had been handed a blue print of how to beat the man and he still couldn't capitalise on those advantages. Now for my money a fighter who can see openings and cannot take advantage could well have slipped from his prime hence my remark.

Hatton, those 7 pounds helped him more than they helped Floyd considering he was walking around at 210.

Baldomir was a limited fighter who just happened to have world titles but at least he was coming of a long winning streak!

The same praise Manny gets for fighting the bigger guy pbf should be gettin as Baldmir was coming in at 160 on fight night vs PBF who was 146 if memory serves correct?

Neither of their careers are perfect but it's at least time to stop the double standard here!
