For it to be "Floyd's record" he needs to break Marciano's.

As of now Floyd's only record is going for so long before getting busted. He's in a competition with other cheaters in history.

so pimp, why dont you give us the exact formula for a legitimate 50-0 record in boxing. exactly how many title defences, how many top 10 fighters, etc... do you need to have a real 50-0 record? or is the criteria just whatever the f you want it to be?

Pimp C couldn't even name 50 boxers let alone compile a credible P4P list. I'm also willing to bet that he has never watched a Roman Gonzalez fight in its entirety, not unless Gonzalez was on one of Floyd's undercards at one point or another...

it just strikes me as a childs argument when you tell him that many other fighters went 50-0 and he says they arent legit because floyd fought better fighters... well whats the exact formula for determining when youve reached the required good fighter tally?

Dude, don't waste your time with Pimp C. He's just a slightly less annoying version of MVC.

i know, i just enjoy reading how ridiculously ludicrous they start to sound when they start to argue against common sense... the reasoning they use to try and sell you the hog is just pure comedy.

Even if this guy does pass the 49th mark undefeated. It still wouldn't be more significant to Floyds, because he didn't climb several weight classes to achieve it.

Someone who has been linear at a weight multiple if possible beaten top 10 P4P fighters and legit belt holders also it wouldn't hurt to be considered one of the best of your era as well. Not a bunch no hopers and record paders on your resume.

There is no historical significance to 49-0 unless you are the heavyweight champion.

Other than that, it's a great record.

There is a good chance he can and there are others with a shot at it. In this day and age, that's a very beatable number. The catch is to retire undefeated.
