Floyd made a good point. He thought he fought for the money but why does he carry on fighting now when he has more than enough money. He loves to fight, he loves the game, he loves the life, he loves it all.

Floyds dedication to his craft is unquestionable.

You're a ****ing douche. You're going to be waiting quite a long time, because if you haven't noticed, he's by far the best fighter alive in every aspect of the game.

It's a shame he's only in it for the money after his last two fights. How much money does he need or want?

All he needs to GREATLY enhance his legacy is to beat 2-3 of the top welters. Now, why should that be so difficult a task for the no.1 fighter in the world?

By the way, there are FAR worse things in boxing than Mayweather. Your scraping the barrel.

As if the Cotto, Williams, Margarito, etc. of the world of boxing would rather box for making the new Golden Days of boxing! No, really, you're right, we should celebrate the glorious days when boxers would get disfigured every other night for peanuts so promoters and bookies would cash in the real money!

Do you like dog fights? They don't fight for money.

I beg to disagree. Tell me how can cotto get through pbf's defense? Explain to me and expound the possibilities. Cotto got my respect, he is good and a very smart fighter but he is just like the others and he will be. Hard to break it for you: it's styles clash again and we all know that cotto is much of a slugger. Look what happened to hatton. Now i'm willing to bet my v-cash for pbf if ever cotto and pbf happens. Are you willing to bet for your boy cotto?

he does a good job of selling the fights.

he had everyone thinking he was a right tit before the hatton fight and then he turns on the charm and couldn't be nicer afterwards. :yep

boxing needs a talent like floyd mayweather.

let's hope he doesn't leave us just yet. :bbb

I recently saw heavyweight Kevin "Kingpin" Johnson (18-0-1, 6 KOs) from Atlanta, GA fighting Jermell Barnes in a very dull 8 rounder with the undefeated HWT moonwalking back to the ropes, slipping punches and rolling his left shoulder, against the ropes, and sneaking right hands from counter positions. When he was not doing that, he was moving side to side and along the ropes to let that clock run and win a shutout decision... Someone sowed the seed so that every wanna-be slickster is plaguing the face of our dear mother earth with this sort of boxing performances.

Floyd won't leave boxing as easy as that, he will stay in this sport as long he is winning and remain saleable. If we take notice of his other moniker "money", he won't used such for nothing.

no fighter is "unbeatable". As soon as he abandons "the path of least resistance" mentality he will be much more likely to lose to a guy like Cotto, PW, AM or Winky.

Actually, there are plenty of fighters who are considered greats that avoided guys here and there.

It's more common than many might think.

No excuse, but a fact about boxing.
