WTF are you talking about? Did you just start following boxing yesterday? Do you realize how many big names FLoyd missed, I mean DUCKED during the first half of his career alone? And it doesn't count when you face a couple of them after they were already beaten by others and they were well past prime. Its simply amazing how delusional floyd's fan base is. The guy is facing BERTO! That says everything. He should be fighting GGG, but floyd never takes on elite and prime fighters, NEVER. Had GGG lost a couple times by now but still had a decent fan base, Floyd would have fought him. But Floyd doesn't mess around with undefeated, prime fighters. He's a freaking joke. Everyone should boycott this fight with Berto, its insane a p4p champ is facing a complete and utter bum like that at this stage in his career. Sure, if it was a tune up fight for GGG or something, but its not. Its just Floyd wanting yet another sparring match to increase his Ws.
All I'm saying is that people can look at any fighters resume and criticize everyone they've faced. Is his resume close to guys like Robinson, Ali, Greb and others, No way. But the way in which he beat them and the fact that he never lost does have to be taken into account when judging it. And the fact that anyone criticizes him for not fighting GGG is ridiculous(and I'm a big Golovkin fan). Sure fighters in the past like Leonard and Duran went up and faced Hagler. But in no way is Floyd "ducking" Golovkin. Mayweather is a 147 pound fighter and Golovkin frequently weighs 168 on fight night.
Did you just following boxing yesterday...??? Floyd vs GGG...??? Weight classes exist for a reason...!!! What fights did Mayweather duck...??? Margarito...??? That was Arum Pacquiao 2009...??? Team Pacquiao Mosley earlier...??? Mosley had a toothache
About equal with Pacman's, maybe slightly better, the easy decision over him head to head enhances it greatly but I kinda view that fight as separate for both. He's fought mandatories, guys off their biggest wins and the biggest threats out there around his weight constantly, you can say Margarito (85% in a poll here said Mayweather UD so there ya have it)... maybe Williams were misses. Maravilla and Golovkin aren't in his or the next weight class up. Obviously Baldomir, Ortiz, Guerrero and Berto aren't amazing but alright and three were mandatory. Marquez he dragged up but still 12-0'd a legend, apart from that it's a damn impressive body of work. He doesn't need more than a fight 95% of the time to defeat somebody convincingly, so we're kinda robbed of the epic trilogies or brutal wars, Maidana 2 actually enhances it due to the 'wow he actually got a little battered there' factor. Castillo beat him in 1 but he eased it in 2, still has a loss for me, no big deal. He also has very rarely 'cherry picked', if Mayweather cherry picked then everyone else has done... Manny has, Cotto has, DLH has... even Froch cherry picked Mack compared to his usual opposition lol.
Floyd also has wins over Pac, Canelo, Castillo 2, and Corrales. As well as much more dominant win over Marquez. Surely that pushes him slightly over Pac even if only slighty.
Yet your stupid ass made thread after thread before the fight saying how #48 was going to beat PBF when me and others told you that wasn't going to happen. You don't know **** about boxing log off.:hi:
These idiots won't be around in a few years and the new idiots that enter will not know what they are talking about, like this guy you have responded to, therefore the argument against Mayweather's legacy being amazing and against he being an ATG will never hold credibility. Because it doesn't. There's a reason almost every anti-Mayweather post or opinion has a nigh visible cloud of "butt hurt" soaring all around it.
Let's skim over some of their highlights, Barrera and Morales were great wins, Morales was clearly well declined by 3 though, 2 was sensational. Barrera what a ****ing scalp, he completely smashed him and surprised everybody. Mayweather would have been deadly back then for either fighter but I can't say he'd comfortably beat them, I favour him 60/40 though. Shame he was a division above when things were brewing between them all. Bradley's also a stand out win x2. Cotto was more prime but says he was affected by draining, didn't seem his performance was lacking imo though. Mayweather fought much better versions of DLH, Hatton, Mosley and Cotto I guess you'd judge a very good win too, good war of attrition. Canelo is a superb win, he wasn't drained but it was a ***** move (well Pacman is not averse to cw's either) he would have spent more time focusing on the weight than was necessary, he wasn't as experienced as we'd have liked but EVERYBODY was saying he wouldn't 'fight a prime fighter' so you just can't win lol. Maidana should be applauded as styles make fights, immediate rematch, look at Dinamita and Manny. Floyd will always sweep Marquez any day of the week, Pacman would destroy Maidana. Corrales was a superb win, he was the bogey man back in the day and May was an underdog who MASSACRED him, you ever think Mayweather has no offense or has always been pillow fisted pitty pat, you have no idea what his game was like sometimes at the lower weights. Raxflex nobody objective calls him a coward anyway... his resume is outstanding, could have fought a few fighters, could have traded some weaker wins for superior wins but it's not that simple and everybody's resume you can pick apart, not just Mayweather's... or everybody is a coward by that logic. The standards he's held to are a COMPLIMENT to him lol.

What do you know about boxing? You can't breakdown a fight to save your life you thought a guy who could only fight at one range no jab can't cut off the ring and went life and death with JMM for 4 fights would somehow beat the best fighter of this era.:yep You were proven wrong and still bitter PBF owns you and the rest of the PBF haters he's about to retire undefeated as undisputed best fighter of this era and haters like you can't stand it and I love it. Next time learn how to recognize real talent before making an ass of yourself dummy.:hi:
Mayweather is clearly one of the best fighters of all time and has the best resume in this era. I personally am not buying a Berto fight but someone in this thread made a comment like Floyd ducks guys and should be fighting GGG. GGG has one fighter as good as Berto on his entire resume in Geale. A bad win for Mayweather is a top win for damn near every fighter out. Name 6 opponents who you think Floyd should have fought over Berto an I bet if they were fighting him next it would be one of there best wins. Him an Pac have put in work an can do what they want.
FlexB some questions - Would you demand Pacquiao fight Golovkin if he won in May - Hasn't Pacquiao fought guys beat by others, including by Mayweather himself, so you're contradicting your criticism - He beat Hatton and Canelo who were prime and undefeated for a start - If he only fought 'undefeated and prime fighters' you'd say 'he waited for elite fighters of the era to get older or beaten more times' don't deny it lol - Berto does not just erase his whole resume - Judge other fighters how you judge Mayweather then calm down
I couldn't agree more. These dudes are mad that they never had a chance of seeing the man they hate who beat their heroes knocked out lose or humbled in the ring and it's starting to set in.:yep Instead of giving him his due they will go out like *****es to the bitter end. PBF is the best fighter of this era and was undefeated in 3 different decades let that sink in haters.:deal
