Agree. He's going to get starched on a BAD undercard at some point if they match him carefully enough to get him there.
Round 10 Jordan coming forward with a jab to start it off as Porter is bouncing again and going straight back. Porter is insanely talented but the guy really needs to built from the ground up. Porter bouncing n the ropes and then leaping in with a four punch combination. Porter lands a nice uppercut on Jordanbut doesn't do anything with it. Porter going backwards again and skipping rope basically. Jordan comes inside and Porter ties him up. Porter lands two lethal hooks on Jordan who walks through it. Jordan trying to come forward but Porter is holding on. Portan landing some quicker punches but Jordan is walking through it. When you're landing flush on a guy who's been KO'd 5 times and he's walking through it, that's not a good sign. Porter wailing now as Jordan looks tired and/or hurt. Jordan covering up as Porter comes forward. 10 second mark as both guys stand and trade> Jordan is landing more punches but it's too little too late. Porter round ultimately, Jordan waited too long. Porter round 7-2-1 98-92 for Porter. Could see how some people would have it much closer. Decent fight that sort of exposed a major flaw in Porter's game.
Porter is like a bad combination of Naseem Hamed, Roy Jones Jr, Manny Pacquaio, and Shane Mosley. Except 1/10 as good as any of the men listed.
I'm not sure he has much of a future against even the gatekeeper level unless he significantly tightens up his game. Thus far sparring Pac looks like the biggest fight his career is going to have.
5-5 Even (-1 point for Jordan) 95-94 Porter Unimpressive performance from an overhyped fighter, who reminds me of a C-level version of James Kirkland with much less power.
Somebody said Porter looks to be trying to put too much into his game. I absolutely agree. Porter bounces on his toes a little too much in general but when you're built like some sort of Spartan warrior, that style is way too taxing. I'm going to hope he was just tired because backing away with your hands by your dick when you have questionable reflexes isn't necessarily a great style. If he did that and he was my fighter, I'd be strangling him during rounds. He could pull this off as a WW but as a JMW? Too heavy for that kind of style. When Porter got inside and stuck to that sort of fight, he was comfortable and did well.
