Did anyone see the clip on Instagram of Fury on the cross trainer (the one where the song 'Only You' was playing)? Fury looked quite heavy which surprised me considering he's been training regularly, Did anyone else notice this?
I thought Fury looked really lean with the exception of the excess fat that sits at the sides and rear of his torso. He’s fit, strong and from what I see eats really well now, this is just the toll of abusing his body with food and drink for many years.
Since his comeback he seems to fight better when he's heavier. Big John was fuming when he realised his weight for the Wallin fight and I think that partly had something to do with him leaving Ben Davison and he then felt like he didn't carry power in the ring. He then came in heavy for the Wilder rematch and we all know what happened there.
Fury is such a big guy that it's inevitable from certain angles you look at him his appearance will deceive, good or bad.
In the Wilder rematch, Fury had bulked up and looked solid and a lot of stronger. In the Instagram clip, he looked like he was carrying a couple of spare tyres.
That’s just how he’s built. Even when he’s in fighting shape he’s probably 20% bodyfat. He’s never been lean.
I know what you mean but I'm comparing it with how he's looked before. He looked heavier than I've seen him in other clips.
Probably not much in it. He was fairly fleshy, albeit strong, for Wilder II. He’s just an enormous man who benefits from fighting at a certain weight. He’s got too much promotion and money behind him now for there to be any risk of him getting slack. He’s got a full team of nutritionists and S&C.
This statement alone generally means nothing. A room of nutritionists is much like a room of economists, a room full of entirely different methods, opinions and ultimately quality, even at the highest end. The same could be said for sports scientists, but certainly to a lesser degree. For boxers, the most important people are trainers (coaches) and their "sports doctor" or "medical teams".
I think the biggest thing that keeps Fury from slackening in the gym is the benefit to his mental health that comes from training regularly.
Probably just funny angle mate,Tysons very lean for a man of his size,he's always going to have a bit of timber anyway, due to his natural standing
Going by his social media, Fury has been training almost everyday for a couple of years now. He always has timber around his belly and hips, even after a vigorous training camp. There's meat there that appears to be imppsible to shift. We all know he's one of the fittest men in the division.
From what you've seen on social media, would you say that Fury's training methods are more traditional than AJ's? AJ seems to use more modern equipment and techniques whereas Fury's is old school.
Wanna post a link or something? Hey, did you see the article about the coronavirus a few days ago, the one which was talking about vaccines?
