Interestingly, AJ has embraced more old school training recently and Tyson has done the opposite with his S&C with Kristin Blacklock. I think they’re both very well balanced.
Obviously that’s true but my overall point is that since comeback it’s the first time in his career where he’s been ‘living the life’ as he should. Before the time out he ballooned up in weight between fights and didn't look after himself.
I get the impression lots of that came from the Ruiz defeat. He wanted to go ‘back to basics’ and started training at Finchley rather than Sheffield. Perhaps slightly covid induced too.
The Ruiz defeat definitely resulted in an increase in AJ sparring more and focusing on fight based fitness. But he’s always trained at Finchley until camp officially starts and then he relocates to Sheffield.
Unfortunately not. I know a lot of guys who have, and I speak to Rob McCracken's brother Max quite often.
All of these excuses for Fury, reminds me of when Ruiz rematched AJ. A lot of you said a fatter Ruiz is a better Ruiz hahahah. It sounded ridiculous then just like the excuses for Fury sound dumb now.
This is exactly my point. He looked heavy when he was on the cross trainer the other week. He's been training regularly for months. He was getting ready for a title defence in December and has continued training after that fell through but he is clearly overweight here.
Classic Fury, love it. We know from history Fury needs a challenge to get motivated, no fight no camp it's as simple as that with him no matter what he says, Frank should have tried to keep him active with the Kaybel fight. Surely he will need a pudding or two before going anywhere near Joshua but would still fancy him to win even out of shape. Too slick to fast.
