Rigo was on his way to getting stopped. He looked more defenseless as the rds would go by, and there was nothing he could do about it.
I am a huge Rigo fan and even picked him to win the fight. I thought he was gonna break some jaws. But the fact he quit made me lose a s**t ton of respect for Rigo. In this sad, lonely world of boxing, quitting is unforgivable, and now Rigo will be remembered for the rest of his life not as a great 2 time olympic gold medalist, with supreme boxing skills, but a quitter. The harsh truth, which hurts me to say as a Rigo fan.
I for one look up to certain fighters... Duk Koo Kim Prichard Colon Muhammad Abdulsalamov Daniel Franco REAL MEN! Rigondeaux Duran V. Klistchko J.C. Chavez Sr. De La Hoya Kostya Tszyu Willie Pep Rafael Marquez those P-sys all quit, **** em'.
I feel bad for Rigo after a great career this bridge was too far for him I was expecting 12 round fight but Loma was too much for him I think he will continue fighting but the young lions are smelling blood.
Lol great twist. You could ass guys like Gatti and Ward in there expending on that logic. Gatti did not die or suffer and handicap as a direct of a fight. But is depence on painkillers and numerous commotions surely played a part in his tragic story. Ward's health makes is prize money not as enjoyable and plentifull as should be.
