    What a stupid pointless waste of time. Whoever said he was going to equal Duran??? He turned pro as a teenager ffs! LMAO & hardly anyone career wise (certainly in the modern era) compares to Duran except PAC maybe..

    Who cares what props you'll give him anyway? Who? I sincerely don't think his career goal is to garner your approval or to emulate Duran :lol:

    I'm sure Ali was a bantamweight once! Duran at Lomas current age was fighting at WW & LWW! He matured into a much more solid unit than Loma.

    Throw Lomachenko in Duran's time and do you think he could work his way up to beat Ray Leonard ?

    Blown up Lomchenko vs Benitez, Hearns, Moore, Hagler and Barkley ? Could he compete ? What happens in your opinion ?

    Sound's unfair on Loma doesn't it lol

    Prime Duran and Lomachenko have a similar size frame but I think Duran had a stronger skeletal structure. Duran was freakily naturally strong and durable for his size and that helped him be able to work his way up the weights and compete with much bigger men. Lomachenko has all the skill and athleticism in the world like Duran had but he isn't as genetically gifted as Duran was physically.

    Of course. I was just pointing out an inaccuracy. Duran grew into a natural lightweight and hit his prime there. I also agree he matured into a much more solid unit than Loma.

    Good post. Loma is one of the best around but Duran is one of the best of all time. Puts it in perspective

    Oh those are the two easisest ones.

    Buchannan = Flannagan
    De Jesus = Verdejo.

    Unfold? Those boys are all pushing 30-35 and they fight twice a year. They're about to go back to the linen closet.

    Duran beat 4 hall of famers;

    Buchannan
    Palomino
    Cuevas
    Leonard.

    Cuevas shouldn't be there, but he is. There are also 3 or 4 other guys he beat who might get in eventually

    good fighters and Dejesus, but he lost to Ray conclusively 2 more times,, and then was beaten easily by Hearns,Benitez and Hagler. I am just saying, Duran is overrated a bit..

    Laughable to even mention Lomachenko in the same sentence as an all time great like Duran, when Loma's career is still fairly young, and we haven't seen him fight the fights yet against top level peers his size. Duran was at a level, where it wouldn't matter that Lomachenko is more seasoned than he was for the Salido fight. People don't realize if Salido is giving Loma that type of problem, what would Castillo from the Floyd fight have done? What would Duran have done to him? What would Sandy Saddler have done to him, that would have been brutal.

    Yeah, but you get what I mean. Lomachenko has narrow shoulders, that means he cannot gain that much muscle like those boxers with naturally wide shoulders. So he can't move up that many divisions.
