Sixteen fights, get your facts straight. He had six fights after his amateur career was over, he was 7-0 when he fought Salido.
So we can class his wins over WAC gold medallists Valentino & Selimov as pro ones too?? Even better Amazing resume.
His pro record is 16-1. He was paid for six fights after he finished his amateur career. He also fought under the 10 point must system, and didn't fight in head gear. That is a pro bout. His first six opponents weren't bad either, for being his first six opponents.
So if a fighter is fighting in the WSB can he fight for the belts or be ranked in the major professional boxing organizations (WBA WBO WBC IBF RING etc) like other pro boxers? Can he fight 12 rounders?
Boxrec used to have his correct pro record up. As I stated previously he is 16-1 as a pro. He had six fights that were not amateur fights. He was paid for them, he fought without head gear, and under the 10 point must system. Those are pro fights.
Check it.....seriously.......honestly check it...... Stop reaching because you are envious of what he is doing.
The point is, they weren't amateur fights. He was paid to fight, that is a pro. Nothing to hate about. I like Lomachenko's skill in the ring and have long made that clear on this forum. No need to try and create a star though. His skills speak for themselves. He didn't need that. That man had been paid to fight six times under pro rules in five round fights, before his first fight with Top Rank. That makes him a professional.
