***For those of you you doubt VITALI KLITSCHKO.......***

Well, I was being a smartass, yeah :yep

But the total lack of anything from the Vitali camp bothers me.
I can't shake the feeling that he thinks just a month of light sparring or something and no tune-up fight is good enough, like he can just stroll back in there.

 

I do not doubt Vitaly's quality both in terms of skill and mind.

I just lament the fact that we didn't get to see more of it.

Wlad is like a cheap Chinese counterfit version of Vitaly.

Man look at that punch Corrie Sanders landed on Klitscho!! Then It went all downhill. I loved that fight.

That punch where Klitschko landed on his neck was bad too LOL Ouch

The Ukrainian music goes well with it especially with the slow motion action shots but Ramstein singing "This is My Time!" fits Vitali's personality better.................IMO anyway

 

Ramsteins beats are sick, there a very hardcore rock band, very fitting for Vitali and his aggressive style. These type of videos remind us all how much more enertaining and all around better Vitali was than Wlad in his prime.

I think Vitali's greatest assets were his overall toughness (which you can't be taught ), willingness to exchange, his ability to take a flush, hard shot, and his physical strength.

Add in fast reflexes (especially for such a big guy), and you've got a heavyweight that's hard to beat.

 

Vitali v Sanders is an underrated fight.

 

THose videos are a good reminder of how not only how effective and punishing Vitali is, but also, how brutal of a sport boxing is.

Trying to stay on your feet, while being beaten and pounded to the head, neck, stomach, sides, like that..........Ooooooo, that must make for some soreness the next couple of weeks.

 

32 is a baby for such an enormous heavy.

I don't really think toughness is Wladdy's problem. He keeps fighting when he hits the deck. I think a lot of it was stamina, which is solved.

I think the other half of it is not toughness so much as self confidence. He has been dropped and stopped so much, that it has become a self fulfilling prophecy, a kind of emotional feeding frenzy.

He has to come to BELIEVE in his own ability to take those punches. And I do believe that that will improve as time goes on, he wins fights, and he doesn't see canvas.

 

I cant say wether toughness is his problem or not, but it's clear from all the fights I seen of Wlad, there does seem to be a reluctance to engage with his oppenents, and anytime he gets hit with a solid punch he clinches and panicks, thats not what someone who is mentally tough does, they fight back not go into a shell like a turtle.

I agree on the confidence part, Wlad still second guesses himself when it comes time to step up to the plate and fight, we seen this in the Iggy fight, where he was so afraid to throw a right hand, for fear of being countered by the much smaller, less powerful man.

I think the main reason he doesnt hit the canvas is because Manny taught him so well, protect your queen, be a safety first type fighter, just like Lewis, which seems to really work for Wlad, though his fans are started to get bored with him a bit.

 

Vitali is a mean SOB I wish Wlad had his mental toughness.


It is going to be great watching Vitali beat Peter to a pulp.
