WALDO is no taller than 6'4 and that's a fact. VITLAY is probably 6'6 or 7 though, but is still smaller than Chris Byrd who beat him.

Wasn't it great watching Wladimir pummel Chris Byrd? Thanks, I thought so.

That was great. Byrd was an overrated runner.

... but I thought this was a Vitali thread?

Chris Byrd had many successfull title defenses, so what's your point? He had some dubious wins against Oquendo & Golota but NOBODY has COMPLETELY DOMINATED Chris Byrd the way Wladimir did TWICE. Maybe an argument could be made for Ike's KO of Byrd............

I agree totally. Wlad was awesome against Byrd. Completely dominated him.

But he still beat Vitali, and this is a thread about Vitali. Chris Byrd is superior to Vitali Klitchko, head-to-head. :hi:

    Back to Vitali:

The elder brother has never been knocked down in a professional boxing match even though he's fought such power punchers as Lewis, Sanders, Johnson & Williams among others.

His only 2 losses were by TKO due to injury, a rotator cuff tear vs. Byrd & cuts vs. Lewis. In both fights he was clearly ahead on all judges cards.

Vitali was well ahead on the cards before he chose not to answer the bell due to the injury.

Hindsight is 20/20 and it appears he made the right decision since he went on to win the WBC belt & with it the Ring belt.

Had Vitali continued with the fight and made the injury worse he may never have fought again. Rotator cuff injuries have ended many a career in professional sports.

They fought each other, didn't you know? Byrd won. Therefore head-to-head he is the superior fighter. When you talk head-to-head you ignore all the "coulda woulda shoulda"s that are the basis fo all this Vitali worship.

    Thanks for playing.

Vitali quitted against Byrd. Lewis dominated Vitali, Scorecards were bull****.

Vitali was up on all scorecards 4-2 at the time of the stoppage. He was constantly beating Lewis to the punch.

    SO?

The scorecards are only there to determine a winner if one is not decided withing the scheduled distance.

In this case the winner WAS decided before the end, therefore the scorecards are IRRELEVANT.

Chris Byrd beat Vitali Klitschko, and no amount of tears will ever change that fact.
