    I've been passionate about my takes on Marquez to be sure.

    I'd had my eye on Marquez since he was a youngster coming up and fighting at the the Great Western forum cards during the late 90's alondside and coming up with MAB fighting at the same Great Western Forum in Inglewood CA.

    Seen the kid progress knowing he was a special talent.

    I've taken alot of abuse in this board from alot of people.
    My goal all along was to let others know the special talent in Juan Manuel Marquez, he has been severely underrated by most.


    I find it sad that it took last Saturday's performance by Marquez for people to wake up and acknowleadge his true greatness.

    I find it upsetting even that Marquez had to still prove it to many at his age of 38, because very easily fathertime could have caught up to him and he may not have performed to the level he did this past Saturday.

    I"ll be very blunt, I knew Marquez was capable of it, but at 38 you never count on that age of fighter that he will.

    You bet I'm proud of Marquez' perfomance, but I knew of Marquez' caliber and would have been proud of Marquez the fighter regardless of what would have transpired against Pacquiao last Saturday night.
    Marquez did'nt have to prove it to me, I already knew.

    I hope more people now like yourself see it and appreciate Marquez for the great fighter he's been all these years.:bbb

    No doubt!:good. Just for the record.... I've always knew how great JMM is..... I just didn't believe at 38 and with how he looked at this weight before that he had any chance against Pac. I all but said he was a tune up for Manny to set up the Mega fight with Floyd. Juan at 38 looked like a young, hungry lion... I hope he dosent decide to retire.
