Espada x3 (especially the 1st fight) or Campanino I know you dont rate him but his fights are insanely good fun to watch.

Thomas Hearns vs. Roberto Duran. Both were top fighters at the time and both champions. Hearns WBC and Duran WBA. Duran a 3 X champ and Hearns a 2 X champion. Unification had DUran not been stripped of his title. Hearns demolished and destroyed Duran!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAhmVRcVfH8

Hagler-Hearns comes to mind. But I can't think of anything that actually surpasses Foreman-Frazier.

Pipino was ATG until he lost to Hearns and then when he was washed up Duran beat him . Before that he had 11 defenses of his belt and was considered ATG. Hearns destroyed him like Hearns destroyed Duran!!!!!!! When you see how many guys Hearns beat you start to think he was underrated because of losing to LEonard and Marvin Hagler. Hearns also outboxed Virgil Hill and Wilfred Benitez for the Light heavyweight and Junior middleweight titles!!!

Problem with Hagler Hearns is that was not a onesided beating. Hagler was banged up after that fight had two cuts and was rocked more than he had in any other title defense!!!! Hearns was knocked out hard but had Hearns not broke his right hand he might have stopped Hagler in one round!!!

Yes, Foreman absolutely destroying a prime Frazier is the biggest beatdown on a world class level of ATG's. Nothing comes to mind as being particularly close, really.

Hearns was damn competitve. As far as an early KO defeat, that's as good as they come.

Plus, it was Hearns' first fight at MW. To most on ESB, if they were consistent, that makes it not even a relevant win, but hey, that's not me...

I know how good Hearns was. He was still only the 2nd or 3rd welterweight of that era though. And Cuevas is not an ATG. Thats like saying Bute had 9 defenses and was ATG before he fought Froch :nut

you should study up on boxing! Cuevas was much more dominant and better than the guy who beat Bute which is Froch. Cuevas was a bonecrushing puncher who ran into one of the best boxer/punchers in history Thomas Hearns!!! That is no fault of his own to meet up with an ATG!!! Everyone was losing to Hearns at the time except for Sugar Ray Leonard!!! If you think losing to Hearns is bad well then Cuevas or Benitez or Duran or Hill will say different!!! Tommy Hearns won titles all the way to cruiserweight. Hearns was number 2 welterweight of that era not 3. He beat 3 of the 4 guys who were legends of that era Cuevas,Duran and Benitez!!!! And he beat Duran and Benitez at 154 just a division up!!!

Hearns/Hagler was not a beating in the way something like Duran/Hearns or Cuevas/Hearns was. I agree. Hearns could have very well knocked Hagler out had his right not been broke and we would be talking now about Hearns 1st round knockout of Hagler. It almost happened.

I never saw Hagler as almost being knocked out. He was rocked and wobbled, but he recovered and kept throwing punches. Sure had Hearns not broke his right hand he probably would have landed more good right hands, but that is like saying had Tyson landed a little harder uppercut on Douglas he would have stopped him in round 8. The could of beens never happened. Tommy is my favorite fighter, but why he went out there and brawled with Marvin I am not sure. I wish he would have boxed and used his jab and been patient and slowed Marvin down. I think he could have won by mid round TKO. If you gave Hearns openings he always went for the opportunity. He loved testing his punch.
