Second fight was at 154 not 147 and Mosley had looked poor in his last 4fights, DLH probably won that 1 but he was more suited to that weight class, Mosley did probably lose that 1. The first their is no proof of any PED use, the second 1 was

The thing about forrest is, imo, he never lived up to the reputation he now has. I remember a couple of years ago everyone was saying forrest had the answer to the mayweather puzzle.

The same question remains: who are the best 5 people forrest beat in his career?

Mosley X2, Philips, Oliveria, Mayorga, Quartey, Mora, and Baldomir.

I think he beat Mayorga by a few points in the rematch

I also think he did enough work to beat Quartey

No he wasnt a flash in the pan. Forrest was an accomplished fighter who was avoided like the plague. He was then riddled with shoulder injuries. Mosley is the only one who gave him a chance because Forrest beat him in the amatuers.

Doesnt really matter who beat who because neither Oscar or Mosley would offer a similar fight. Both Forrest and Trinidad were stand up boxers who operated behind their jabs, thats why its an interesting and fairly even matchup in my opinion.

Forrest lacks the finesse to stay away from Tito's firepower. He'd get starched sooner or later. Would be a great shoot-out, though.

yeah I don't see an argument for him beating mayorga but if you scored it that way, fair enough.

the point I make is it's quite shallow considering his perceived talents and skillsets which that list highlights.

he was, after schooling shane twice he then lost badly to mayorga, got injured, had a revival and that's it.

Plus he avoided martinez like the plague don't forget.

I'm not saying he achieved nothing, don't get me wrong. I'm saying that considering the respect he's garnered from fight fans, his resume doesn't quite stack up.

It is a very interesting fight, as any Forrest matchup is (I fall into the group I criticise, hypocrite or what eh?). His jab and timing plus that lazer straight right, he has all the tools hopkins did to neutralise him. No way does he box like oscar did, however, I think him and Tito start off tactical but soon fists start flying and tito pounds him out of there.

I think its a bad fight for Vernon. Tito always gets to him IMO.

Tito was just a little better fighter. I would say Tito wins a close decision.

You need more than good offensive skills to beat Tito. You also need to be good enough defensively to get out of the way of what he throws back. Forrest was never a defense guy.
