Frazier's performance against Ali that night was breath taking, it was by far the best version of Frazier, his energy levels in that fight were just insane. Frazier would bob and weave his way in and slip shots like he did against Ali and eventually overwhelm Douglas and stop him.
Angelo Dundee went on record saying they did not have enough time to get Ali in to top shape. Ali went into corners of his own volition because he did not trust his legs, or stamina in that fight. Jose Torres commented on it in his book Sting Like A Bee.
