Not sure if IB's around tonight, or if he's intersted in this but this is the only boxing on this evening, so I figured I'd start a RBR for it, in any event. :good

    Staring off...

Former Olympian Joseph Diaz vs Eric Gotay, 6rds. at 154lbs.

Round 1: Diaz stalks forward, and shoots the left to the body and then doubles with the right hook. Gotay is content to circle and counter, occasionally firing back with rights upstairs. Diaz more accurate and takes it pretty clearly.

    10-9 Diaz

Round 2: Gotay tries to stand his ground more early, and wings away with wide hooks thrown with both hand. Doesn't land that much, though...just kinda paints the gloves of his opponent who then comes back and rips lefts and rights downstairs and then comes up with hooks and uppercuts that have Gotay looking a bit uncomfortable and unsteady at the bell.

    10-9 Diaz

    20-18 Diaz

Round 3: Diaz continues to thump away to the body, while Gotay continues to search for places to hide while trying to land the occasional right. One lands, but Diaz walks through and lands a HARD right, then lands a one two downstairs, followed by a hard hooker-cut, and a final straight left! FACEPLANT! Gotay struggles up at eight, but it's waved off.

    TKO3!

Diaz looked impressive and punches well in combination...but could use his jab a bit more on the way in, I think.

Errol Spence vs Brandon Hoskins, 6rds.

Hoskins has lost his last four, but the opponents included Keith Thuman, Micheal Zewski, Dmitri Salito and Phil La Greco. So this is a step up for the Olympian in only his fifth pro fight.

Round 1: Spence works behind the jab, and starts to hone in with the right hook as Hoskins lunges forward. Hoskins continues to chug ahead, pumping out one twos that dont make contact and eats another right hook, and another. Hoskins continues to try and carry out Plan A, since Plan B for him is non-existent and bulls his foe into the ropes. Spence seems unconcerned and clocks his foe with a nasty uppercut that drops him to a knee. Hoskins up and does what he does, which is come forward directly into the path of his foe's hook. Sure enough another hook connects, and Hoskins goes down again. The ref sees the writing on the wall (or canvas) and stops it.

    TKO 1!

Spence stepped up slightly...and stepped on Hoskins. It was expected...but emphatic. :!:

Hmm...I guess my attention is now focused on getting you to take the time to acknowledge me while trying to watch a fight and give an accurate account of it at the same time, like an attention-seeking child and his da. Instead of IB. This is awkward. ...Let's see here.

Have you seen my GIF of Kessler's Froch promo?
