Honestly I've always thought Vitali was the better of the two brothers. As far as Frasier goes I'd say he beats both but Vitali would be the tougher fight.

 

No way a 5'10 213lb Joe Frazier beats either Klit of today, Joe was good in his era but he was just too small to even last twelve with either...

 

but Joe is ATG. Klitchko's are not ATG. ATG> Boring Russians. Weight does not matter, height does not matter. Fighters of the past were superior to any fighter of today or future. You nuthuggers never understand. I must rage now :fire:fire:fire:fire:fire:fire:fire

 

I hate when people just assume that Vitali is better than Wlad, despite the fact that Vitali's resume is laughable in comparison.

Wlad is the only HW champ. Vitali is and always has been a paper champion, fighting slow fat bums and shot fighters from the last generation.

 

Wlad may very well have the better resume, but we have to address that Vitali defeated TWO of Wlad's conquerors right around the same time they beat him and also lost to better fighters than the ones Wlad got beat by... he also had the disadvantage of losing 4 years of his career to injuries while his brother was cleaning out the division... Wlad has the better legacy and a lot more fights, but head to head, I'd say its highly in question.

 

C'mon man... I met Joe Frazier...the guy was maybe 5'9. He would stand no chance against either Klitchko brother. Just a different era of heavyweight boxing in the 70's

Vitalis fight against Lewis is better than anything Wlad ever did, Wlad was never in the ring with ATG Vitali was, and it is a big difference.
Wlad resume is maybe better but prime vs prime Vitali KOs Wlad!!!

Vitali is faster, has better reflexes, throws a wider variety of punches, has a far better chin, and has a proven ability to fight his way out of trouble.

The only way Wlad survives Frazier is if he suddenly develops an uppercut (a punch that simply doesn't feature in his arsenal) and doesn't get caught by any big hooks for the duration. We know Vitali would take them and come back with a barrage of his own... but could you honestly say the same about Wlad?

 

But do you realise your argument is all about losses? And by the way, you forgot to mention that Wlad easily disposed of Chris Byrd, who outboxed and forced Vitali to quit. Lennox wanted no part of Chris Byrd.

Being the better champion isn't about losing to the best fighters, it's about beating the best fighters.

So yes, Vitali lost to better fighters than Wlad did. By that standard, Vitali is better than Jack Dempsey, Ezzard Charles, Joe Louis, and the list goes on.

Wlad beat lots of great fighters, though, whereas Vitali only beat 3 good fighters plus a bunch of bums. Does that count for anything?

 

Nonsense. The Frazier of 71 beats both Klit brothers.

 

Which is the whole reason for the thread. He started the same thread last night and another asking why we glorify the dead. How he has not been banned is beyond me.
